Hot Shot Appliance Service Reviews (7)

I truly wish I could give this company a Unfortunately this is the company our home warranty chose to come help fix our broken dishwasher, but hours later after they're supposed to be here no one will answer the phoneThe fact that it seems like a home run business (based on the photo provided) makes sense that they'd only have a couple of employees, but seriously! Actually call and let people know if you're coming or not! Completely 100% dissatisfied with this company and I hoe my home warranty service drops them

On Dec. 12, 2015 Hotshot Appliance responded to a service request thru a warranty company to service Mr. [redacted] at [redacted] ***. In order to get a complete diagnosis they have to pull out the dishwasher to check all operations. The technician found... water leaking from the drain hose when they pull the machine out and that lead them to check the drain hose which in deed had a cut and unit was leaking water from there. According to Mr. [redacted] the diswasher was not cleaning dishes properly which requires to replace the soap dispenser which wasn't opening at the time required therefore the dishes were not getting cleaned. My technicians ordered the soap dispenser and the drain hose which was broken at the time they got the full report. They advised Mr. [redacted] not to use it to prevent future leaks, that the only way it will leak was if it was operated. When the technicians returned with the replacement parts they found water on the floor and part of the sheet rock behind the dishwasher and asked Mr. [redacted] if he had used it to what he responded was yes he did use it. Techs cleaned out the water on the floor and advise Mr. [redacted] to put a fan to vent and dry the piece of sheet rock that was wet. He said he was going to do that. On 12-21-2015 the complete repair was signed by Mr. [redacted] accepting the complete satisfaction of the service. Two weeks later he calls his warranty company to open up a claim for the repairs of his clothes washer and Hotshot was sent again to work on it and that when he said there was a bad smell coming from the back of his dishwasher that the water damages on the wall were caused by our technicians. A senior technician was sent to check the washer and the supposed damages to the sheetrock by the water leak from the dishwasher and he explained to Mr. [redacted] the operation of the dishwasher to which he admitted having used the machine when the technician had said to wait until he replaced the drain hose. Again all repairs were done for the washer and he signed his complete satisfaction to the repairs. Our customers make our business and do the best our ability to ensure complete customer satisfaction; We feel that we responded the way we were supposed to but have no control over what happens after we leave the customer house. Sincerely, Dora [redacted]

Regards,

We received this work order on February 13th, after we received the dispatch we schedule an appointment according to our scheduling guidelines . We have assigned certain zip codes to each day of the week to
be able to service most of the Houston area. The diagnosis that the
tech brought into our office was that the oven needed a clock to be replaced, which was no longer available from our list of vendors. At this point
we had to submit a report to AHS the Mrs*** home warranty company so that they can do a part research from all their vendors. This process takes approximately weeks. If they can't find the broken piece from
any of their vendors then the appliance is submitted into options which means they offer the customer the cost of the part and the labor to repair the unit and they allow the customer weeks to make the decision whether they
take the money and put the difference to buy a new one or they choose for the piece to be send to refurbish. In this case the *** chose the repairs instead of the cash allowance offered by the warranty company. When they
choose to repair the broken piece, another appointment has to be made to go to the customers home to pick up the part in order to send it to get refurbished. After the part is sent out to refurbish it takes 3-weeks for it to come
back, and then a third appointment is made to put it back on the appliance. As you can see this is a very complicated process and we try our best to complete the repairs in a timely manner. We really apologize for the inconvenience this
has cause to Mrs*** and are trying our best to finish this repair as soon as possible
Thanks

We do not offer cash compensation in this cases, a claim has been submitted to our liability insurance company and all coverage decisions will be determined by them.
