On behalf of my team, I wish to express our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience and misunderstandings you experienced after your stay at Hotel Ändra. I received a letter from our local Revdex.com in today’s mail regarding the additional credit card...
authorization. Please know that at no time was your credit card actually charged, nor did Hotel Ändra “steal” money from you. I also feel it’s important for you to know that at no time was your confidential credit card information mishandled. The $75.00 you refer to in your claim was an authorization only (computer generated) and normally can be removed as soon as the error is brought to our attention. The number of days that it takes for an authorization to naturally be removed from a credit card solely depends on the financial institutions policy that a credit card is issued from. Normally this is about 7-10 business days. Although it can sometimes be difficult, the business (in this case Hotel Ändra) can contact your bankcard customer service, along with you on the phone and asked to have the additional authorization released sooner. Again, that solely depends on the financial institution. I’m truly sorry that our service team did not clearly communicate this to you. . I do not offer this information to you as an excuse, only clarification.
We will incorporate your poor experience with our customer service into our continued service training so that you and future guest do not encounter a similar concern. It is only through comments such as yours that we can see our areas of strength, as well as those areas that need more attention. We have shared your concerns with our partners at Amazon and will work closely on any restitution that they feel is appropriate.
