Will not issue a refund because of an emergency I had to leave early I had checked in at the hotel on Sunday March and checked out on the next day March in the morningI had purchased three days to stay but because of an emergency that being my infant daughter had to be checked into the hospitalI cut my trip short and returned home I spoke to the manager Jody and she said would not issue a refund because of a third party purchase of the stayWhen I called the the third party which was priceline they said we just had to ask the hotel permission for the refundWhen they did I was denied I was charged for one night and the average charge was only plus taxI feel I was overcharged and would want a refund

I was charged for a two night stay after cancelling ten days prior to trip
I made an online reservation with a $deposit for a two night stayI needed to cancel which I did with ten days notice to the hotelI tried emailing and calling but the hotel insists on keeping the entire deposit despite the fact that I gave more than enough notice for them to rent the room to someone elseAnd they don't just want one night's deposit, they want the entire stay
I am an attorney and do not generally agree to a nonrefundable room rateThe hotel claims I did but I do not recall doing this
The general manager refused to do anything about this

I was charged for a reservation, despite cancelling my reservation in the accepted time period. The employee I spoke to claimed she never spoke to me.. I made a reservation for three rooms this week, originally scheduled to check in on Monday (2/2) and check out on Thursday (2/5). I called on Sunday to notify the hotel that my check in date would need to be changed, and spoke with an employee ([redacted]) at the front desk. He told me he was unable to edit my reservation, and that it would be best I call back and speak to another individual who would be in later that evening. I called Monday morning around 7:30 a.m., and was again greeted by [redacted] on the phone who informed me that the individual I needed to speak to stepped out to run an errand. After calling back a second time around 8:00 am, I was able to speak with the specific individual ([redacted]) and inform her that my reservation would need to be modified (changing the check in date to Tuesday). [redacted] went ahead and changed my reservation with no issue, and I thanked her for her help.Tuesday morning I found that my team and I would not be able to travel down to Durham, and I immediately called the hotel to cancel my reservation. I was again connected to [redacted] who told me she cancelled my reservation as I requested. This cancellation was done so within the allowed time period, and I received a verbal confirmation that it was taken care of.. However, I have was charged for all three rooms ($1,113.48) since then. I called the hotel the next morning to inquire on why I was charged and spoke to another receptionist ([redacted]), who informed me that she talked to [redacted], and that this amount would not be refunded since I was a "no show". I was surprised that [redacted], who I had spoken to just two days ago, couldn't recall that I cancelled my reservation within the allotted time. I asked to be connected to [redacted], who was unable to provide me with much assistance, and transferred me to the General Manager's voicemail. The GM returned my call, but claimed he did not see that my reservation was cancelled. He asked [redacted] who claimed I never gave her a call to cancel my reservation. I adviced the GM that he could verify my call by asking the other individual ([redacted] the receptionist) to verify I called. There was a silence on the phone, and the GM replied with the same respose, "We have no record of your cancellation". I offered to fax him my phone records to prove that I contacted his hotel several times to take care of the reservation. He told me he could not accept this.The total I was charged (around $1,100) was for three rooms for my co-workers and I. The GM said he would refund me the amounts for the other two rooms (a little over $700), but would have to charge me for mine which would amount to around $4370.. I was very upset because I honestly took all the measures to prevent something like this happening, and was punished for an operational mistake on the hotel's behalf.Desired SettlementComplete refund of the entire amount I was charged.
