While driving through Jacksonville FL, we looked up the nearest Best Western on our phone so that we could spend the night The phone number turned out to be a booking agent through HotelGuides.com This agent gave us incorrect information about the exit number off I- As a result we ended up driving miles out of our way, losing an hour of travel time When we called the agent he insisted they were not wrong and that they had the right information!

We booked a hotel room in Kansas City 10/10/with HotelGuides.com and get to the hotel to find out they over booked and had no rooms as promisedI emailed this site and got a email back telling me sorry and that's itI won't ever us this site againYou can't trust them

I called customer service with an issue that happened with a reservation I thought I made on Hotelguides.com website on Feb. 15 for The Quality Inn in Ocala FL for 2/20. The website was slow that evening and after not receiving an email confirmation of the reservation approximately 1 hour after making the reservation I called the hotel directly to verify my reservation. I was told there was no reservation for that date and there we no available rooms at the hotel for that date.

With that, I then reserved a room at another hotel in Ocala (not an easy task during FL speedweeks and all the racing going on). The hotel was more expensive and not nearly as nice. BAD DEAL!

Imagine my surprise when on Monday 2/22 I see a charge for a reservation at the Quality Inn in Ocala FL for 2/20. As well as the charge for the hotel I had the unfortunate experience of staying in. I called the customer service for the Quality Inn and was told that my reservation was not sent to them until 2/16 so they would have not been able to confirm my reservation at the time of my first call. I am still trying to figure out how on 2/15 the hotel did not have my reservation and there were NO rooms available BUT on 2/16 you sent my reservation to them and magically a room was available??? This does not make sense.

I am extremely unhappy and out not only a night's sleep after traveling to kill bugs all night in a nasty room AND be charged for not only that room but a room at another hotel very close to the nasty pit I was staying in.

Both companies have been contacted and have simply pointed the finger at the other and advised there is nothing they can do. Neither has advised how a hotel with no rooms available could have a room available the following day when my reservation was sent to the hotel. A simple apology would have gone a long way. Instead Hotelguides.com response is "No errors were made our end and no monies paid to us, not a dime. We have NOT charged you any monies our end nor will we receive a
dime from the hotel, as hotels don't pay us a commission for unused
reservations. The Quality Inn Ocala will keep ALL monies charged.
There's nothing further we can do to help.

When we called the agent he insisted they were not wrong and that they had the right information!
