The technicians did not resemble the "15-20 years of experience" that the company boasts. The technicians did a poor job including not properly cleaning the dryer vent, leaving the areas they worked in dirty, not replacing all of the screws they removed on the return grills and leaving the grills in the closed position. The day after the service I noticed that the dryer vent was not working. It worked fine before the "cleaning". I have tried reaching the company by phone and email daily since the service which was over a month ago to have them come back out and correct their work. They have not returned any of my voice or email messages.Product_Or_Service: house duct and dryer vent cleaningDesired SettlementThe company needs to send an experienced technician to clean the dryer vent and confirm that the vent is properly working before finishing the service. The service will be at the expense of the House Air Care.Business Response We treat all customers with the highest regard. Our founders have extensive experience in this business. We train all technicians to follow our company standards. The customer finds it easiest to go online and file a complaint about services that have nothing to do with our company. When we spoke to her she mentioned that her dryer does not work. We kindly explained that we clean vents and we do not fix dryers. As a result of her being upset she has changed the story and filed this complaint. No where in our website or our marketing materials or in person we mention that we fix dryers. Our only function as a dryer vent & air duct cleaning company is to clean vents. We do not provide a repair service but a cleaning service. Respectfully House Air Care Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)As I stated in my original complaint I have not been able to speak with anyone at this company as they have yet to return my many phone calls. The very first time I tried reaching them after their service someone answered the phone and said "I'm in the car right now and have to take your name and phone number and call you back." No one ever called me back so I tried to call several additional times where the phone always went to voicemail and I left message after message for them to call me back. If they had ever bothered to return my call I would not have told them my dryer was broken because it is not broken. It works perfectly fine as long as it is not connected to the vent. The vent is clearly blocked by them clogging it when they were supposed to be cleaning it. The only true thing that they have written in their response to this complaint is that they are a dryer vent cleaning service. That is all that I expected them to do, clean the dryer vent not clog it. It was not clogged at all before their visit and now is obviously clogged because of their incompetent technicians. I am going to have to hire a different company to fix this problem and I will be sending the bill for this to House Air Care.

I purchased a[redacted] coupon for air duct cleaning from [redacted] When I called and scheduled the appointment they said [redacted] and they were the call center and could schedule the appointment.when the man came out I asked for credentials and he showed me his license. He was not wearing a uniform and when he explained that he needed to cut holes in my duct work and charge me [redacted] to do the work his worksheet said House Air Care on it. I had already been cancelled once and wanted this done before the holidays so I gave him a check for [redacted] and he started looking at the ducts upstairs in my house.He then went into the basement and turned on a vacuum cleaner and I guess he was blowing the soot out of the ducts into the vacuum cleaner. He was filthy as was my basement. He left. I went into the bedroom and there was black soot all over my wall, my blind, my dresser. Went into the living room and there was black soot all over my new couch and chair. I was really angry.I just moved into the house and had the walls painted, brand new leather couch and new blinds.I called the company, [redacted] and spoke to a [redacted] sent the guy back to my house to finish the job....meaning clean the ducts from upstairs and help me clean the soot of my walls and blinds. he came back and I made him leave as he was filthy and now leaving fingerprints on my freshly painted walls.I called the company, [redacted] and spoke to [redacted] again. It was Friday at [redacted] and I had a conference this weekend. She said she would tell her manager and he would call me back next Tuesday. A man by the name of [redacted] called me and told me he would refund me [redacted] I received a check for [redacted] which was what [redacted] had charged for the coupon. [redacted] cleaning is a scam. I got scammed by House Air Care for [redacted] plus soot damage, a blind and duct work damage. I don't know the cost of that.Desired SettlementI would like the [redacted] The blind cost [redacted] I would need a licensed HVAC company to come out and tell me how much to do the duct work.
