I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. The matter is quite simple: I asked for a quote FOR THE ENTIRE JOB OF CLEANING MY HOUSEI was NEVER told it would cost $until the job was done, and my credit card was chargedI was also never told it would take man hours to do the jobTHAT is what I wanted to know when I asked for a quote. Bottom line, what is the value of getting a quote for ONE MAN HOUR?!?!?!?!? The answer: no value whatsoeverSo, the final bill came as a COMPLETE SURPRISEAnd it was already charged to my credit card, so I couldn't simple not pay itHouse Calls' "quote" process is incredibly dishonest and deceiving. They charge me an amount I NEVER APPROVED and, in fact, WAS NEVER MADE AWARE OFIF I had know IN ADVANCE that the job would have cost $266, I would NEVER have hired the companyThat amount is OVER TIMES what I have budgeted for house cleaningI have since found a company that does just of good of a job, for LESS THAN HALF THE COST and they gave me a COMPLETE quote in advanceTHAT is what I asked House Calls for, but never received. This is a simple case of a complete lack of transparency in their "quote" process (on purpose)Again, they charged my credit card with an amount they never shared with me in advance, and an amount I never authorizedThey cannot dispute these FACTS

Calls
to schedule a free in home consultation and a quote for house cleaning.  I was instructed to meet Mr.
Sebastian at the home and he would be available to perform the
walk through as [redacted] had to work.  [redacted]
graciously showed me through the home and described their needs.
Our quote, scope of work and method of payment
forms were e-mailed to [redacted] and she accepted the quote.  The
required forms were completed, signed and returned via e-mail,
prior to the first service.   Our quote clearly states man
hour at $40, plus tax $2.70
(Please see the attached copies)  We have used this same quote format for many
years with no misunderstandings.
The home was cleaned by 3 cleaning techs, each
at $40 per hour as stated on our quote, plus tax.  In total the crew
cleaned for 6.24 man hours.  At $40 per hour the total was $249.60, tax,
$16.85.  Grand total $266.45
[redacted] called to tell us how happy he
was with our service and wrote an awesome review!  (See below)

Regarding the $10 off coupon to be used for
the service was over looked during our invoice process.  A credit was
issued a few days later for the $10.
Please
notice in the e-mails attached that [redacted] stated that the only number they
saw on the quote was $42, therefore indicating that our quote was not read completely! I am struggling with the idea that [redacted]
and [redacted] would think that a service company could even exist charging a total of $42.70
to perform the cleaning based on their scope of work and the satisfactory expectations which were obviously met.  Again, the cleaning required 6.24 man hours to complete which equates to a man hour rate of only $6.73 !!
I am sending a separate e-mail containing all correspondence between
House Calls, [redacted] and [redacted].
Please
see our response to [redacted]'s complaint, asking him for an alternate
suggestion, instead, we received vulgar remarks and threats to use his
internet expertise to put House Calls out of business.
