particular case, the fact that it was paid off was not provided to my client who purchased the debt.  Of course consumers always say that they are being harassed when they are called on a debt that they owe even though we follow the law when calling to collect on a debt.  My client never received a refund of the amount that he paid for the debt.  Evidently this account has been settled.  As a side note, I have disbanded the collection practice in January of this year.  All collection accounts have been taken over by the law firm of [redacted].  You can reach them at [redacted]
