Review: We are very disappointed in the service received by House Doctors. We hired them to install a replacement shower/tub unit for our home. We were given an order for an upgrade of the shower unit even though the upgrade was actually the correction of wrong measurements used to order the shower. I don’t consider having the right size shower an upgrade. We did not take any measures of the shower area but relayed on professional services to determine what size was needed. I assumed that the 30” in the quoted order was the right size for the opening without a 3” gap. I have pictures to show the size of the open area to be 33”. however a 30" shower was order. They give me an made shift remedy to force a 30 shower into the open space which was extremely tacky and unprofessional. I did not accept the made shift remedy and had them order the right size. I agree to pay something towards the correct size shower (34”) which fits without a gap. This is reasonable since there was a difference in the price of the 30 & 34 units but not the over 500 dollars requested for a upgrade order.

The job was estimated for 3 to 5 days; the work was started on 1/19 and did not get completed until 1/30 (10 work days later) leaving a damaged floor. We expect some kind of price adjustment for the damage to our floor. I have sent the company a picture of the floor damage.

There is no way we would have selected this company to do our work had we known the shower unit did not come with doors. The shower unit is still unusable without shower doors. I spoke to the company about how surprise I was that the estimate did not include doors. The estimate did not include any disclosure that doors were not included. All of the shower units displayed on their web site show shower doors. A number of times I requested pictures of the shower unit prior to the installation. They said they will email them to me. When I called to say I never got any emails with pictures they stated that they would email them but never sent them. The company provided me an estimate for shower doors (over $600 dollars). At this point I would be very uncomfortable with House Doctors measurements of shower doors which would fit. So I need to reenter the market to find a company for the shower doors.Desired Settlement: Price Adjustment:

Original Job Cost $ 2,700

Payment $ (1,700)

Balance $ 1,000

Shower Size Variance $ 250

Floor Damage $ (150)

Shower Door Disclosure Error $ (300)

Remaining Balance $ 800
