Revdex.com7007 Jefferson St. NE Ste A Albuquerque, NM 87109To Whom It May Concern:I am responding to a complaint you received on 1/9/2016, ID [redacted].The first issue stated is in regards to his daughter not wearing her coat when she was outside. The teachers in his daughter's class...

are constantly telling her to keep her coat on when they are outside. This is a struggle everyday with some of the children and she is one of those who would prefer to not keep it on. The parent stated in his complaint that all the other children had jackets on so it is evident that the teachers require this before they go outside in cold weather. The second issue raised is that there were no staff on hand at 7:35 a.m. when he brought her daughter in, which is absolutely wrong. We open our doors at 7:00 a.m. and his daughter's class already had onechild in attendance, who had arrived at 7:11 a.m. that morning, as noted with the included copy of our sign in sheets. The teacher had taken her one child with her to the hallway of our building, where our janitor's closet is, to gather some items for cleaning in the class that morning. The teacher may have been out of the class for at the VERY MOST, two minutes. He absolutely did not wait ten minutes. Including his daughter's teacher, there were four other staff members on hand, two of which were in the office. Parents must walk directly past the office in order to get to the classroom, which is literally 5 feet from the office. It would not have been necessary for him to stand there for 10 minutes and be late for work-all that was required was for him to return to the office and inquire if her teacher was present. One of the staff members from the office saw him walk in and knew the teacher had walked to the back. This office member walked to the back to inform the teacher that another child had arrived as the teacher was already on her way back to the class with her one child and her bucket for cleaning. The third issue is in regards to an injury, or an "ouchie". To the knowledge of the teachers in her class she has had no injuries. Our teachers are very responsible and keep records of all incidents and injuries of all children in their attendance. However, with children there are can be an occasional incident that the teacher may be unaware of. For example a child fallingoutside and the teacher did not see and the child did not cry or become upset and just carried on with their playing.I would like to make it clear that had the parent talked to us after the first, second or third issue he had, we would have been more than happy to address any and all concerns as we are now. After 13 years in this business, it has been my experience that a parent who has one issue with the center where they are leaving their child discusses it with the staff to resolve the matter immediately. Our center has always had good relationships with our parents and our teachers are excellent when it comes to communication with the parents of the children they care for daily. I honestly believe if the customer brought any of these issues to our attention, we would have resolved it immediately and he would have left feeling confident in the care his daughter is receiving at our center. Lastly, this center has never and would never retaliate against a child for their parent coming to us with concerns. We operate a professional place of business and these children are our priority. We welcome the opportunity to show parents this is the right place for their child and welcome questions or concerns they may have. The children in our care are loved and cared for equally by a great team of teachers who care for these kids as if they are their own.I hope that this resolves any concerns this gentleman has about our center. I would also like to make him aware that because he receives state assistance from CYFD does not mean he is locked into this one center. If for some reason he does not feel comfortable with our center I would like to welcome him to contact his CYFD caseworker and discuss the many other centers who also accept CYFD.If you should have any questions or concerns feel free to contact us at ###-###-####.Thank you, Shannon M[redacted]House of Angels
