We clearly remember Mr*** boat when it came inPrior to any work that was done we explained to him that his boat needed much attention because of the past years neglectWe dont usually work on boats that are nearly years old but we
wanted to help him out and get his family on the waterhis initial complaint was boat was going 30mph and it popped out of gear, that is what is wrote on the original invoice I have in front of meThere is nothing stating boat goes mphWe serviced his boat and did above and beyond work to get this boat water worthyHe had stated it popped out of gear while driving and boat would not go forward or reversewe fixed his initial problem and the boat at the time of pick up went into forward and reverseWe changed out the cable and a couple of other obsolete parts that were special ordered because of the year of his boat they dont make parts for it any longerAs for nor returning his calls while he was out in the water, it was Memorial weekend and our business closed for days for the holidayI apologize for this but that was the reasoning for him not contacting anyone at that timeOnce we reopened, We called Mr*** back right away to try and address his concerns and to meet his needsHe was a bit angry on the phone and said he had already took it somewhere else and they charged him $(I believe) This new issue of the boat only going 5mph is the fist we have heard of it and we would have addressed that problem while it was here to make his vacation a good oneWe have the original write up that he filled out when he arrived if it is needed in the future, there was no mention on the 5pmh issue on itWe strive to make everyone of our customers have a fault free time while they are on the waterIf there is ever an issue we would be glad to address it for them to make them happyWe have been in business for years and only hire master certified technicians to work on our customers boatIf Mr*** would like us to look at his boat again, we would be glad toAs for a refund he is requesting, 75% of his bill was parts that were installed in his boat, We discounted the labor already another 45% to try and help out a first time customerA refund is not warranted in our view, but once again we would be glad to look at his boat again to rectify this situation
