I am writing in response to the complaint made by *** *** on 1/12/Ms*** became an It's Just Lunch (IJL) client and signed a contract on 3/26/She purchased a 6-month membership
IJL started coordinating dates for
Ms*** as soon as she because a clientIJL clients attend one date and then come into our office for an in-person meeting
IJL called Ms*** on 3/27/to arrange dates with two of our clientsMs***'s first date, ***, was scheduled for 4/Her second date with ***, which she was told about on 4/7, was scheduled for 4/
Unfortunately, her first date with *** needed to be cancelled three days prior to the date it was scheduled for; he informed us he had recently started dating someone he met through IJL exclusively and put his membership into an inactive statusAs you can imagine, this can happen when our Clients decide to pursue a relationship seriously - as a dating service, that's the typical goal in mind when someone becomes a ClientWhile it's unfortunate that the date had to be cancelled, a Client's membership status is not within our controlWe provide matches and schedule dates with those matches unless a Client says otherwise
On 4/10, we contacted d Ms*** to tell her about two more matches we had selected for her, *** (she did not meet him due to her scheduling challenges) and *** (she passed on meeting him.)
While working on those matches, Ms*** was scheduled to come in to our office for her in-person interview on 4/13/15, but she did not show up for her appointmentAfter we were able to reach her, we rescheduled the appointment for 4/28, which she later canceledThe in-person interview was then rescheduled again for 5/
On 4/24, Ms*** notified us that her daughter was sick and that she needed to reschedule her date that was to happen that evening with ***The date was rescheduled for 5/
Ms*** was able to attend her first date on 5/with ***, who is a Director of Strategic AccountsWhile giving us her feedback on 5/12, she stated that, "it was ok" and that he was a "really nice guy;" she called him but never heard back from himShe thought he was "good looking, nice and polite."
On 5/12, Ms*** asked to have her account placed on an inactive status because her daughter was having surgery
Ms*** did have a second date prior to her inactive status startingThis date was on 5/15, with ***, a business ownerShe gave us feedback on 5/19, stating he was, "NiceHe did text during our dinner and had to leave in the middleI hope it wasn't meHe seemed very nice, he is a good dadMaybe he just had a bad day, it happens."
On 5/31, Ms*** sent an email asking for her membership to be reactivatedA voicemail message was left for her on 6/in order to tell her about her new match, ***Additional messages were left for her on 6/& 6/Although she had not contacted us back yet, an additional match, ***, was available and we contacted her again on 6/to tell her about both gentlemenMessages were left for Ms*** on 6/9, 6/10, 6/11, 6/12, 6/16, & 6/When we called on 6/18, we had a third gentleman for her to meet named ***A final message was left for her on 6/19; when we did not hear back from her, the membership was, once again, placed on an inactive status as a courtesy as of 6/
Ms*** emailed us on 7/asking for her membership to be activeShe stated her daughter was sick and apologized for being previously unavailable
We contacted Ms*** the next day to tell her about her next match, named ***Their date was scheduled for 7/Unfortunately, *** was called out of town and needed to postpone the dateWe let Ms*** know we would come back to that match at a later dateThe next day she was called with her next match, ***, and a date was scheduled for 8/
On 7/31, we contacted Ms*** with another match, ***We scheduled her a date with him for 8/Ultimately, Ms*** ended up canceling both this date and the date with *** before either could happen
Ms*** was contacted on 9/with a new match, ***The date was scheduled for 9/28; Ms*** sent an email the day of the date to cancel it, along with requesting that we not schedule any additional dates for herAfter receiving the email, we immediately called *** to let him know and called Ms*** to discuss the cancellation and request - calls were made on 9/and 10/11, with no responseMs***'s months of membership time expired naturally on 10/12/
Unfortunately, Ms*** was not able to meet a handful of the matches that we presented to her - due to cancellations and scheduling complicationsDuring her membership, Ms*** shared with us that her daughter and father were illWe are understanding and empathetic to unforeseen issues that can come up during a Client's membership and we would like to work with her again once she is ready
After receiving this complaint, we reached out to her on 1/14, 1/and 1/16/to discuss her membership, however, per the contract Ms*** signed on 3/26/15, we do not offer membership refundsWe value Ms*** as a Client and want her to have had a positive experienceWe are open to discussing the possibility of providing a few additional matches to Ms*** due to the circumstances of her expirationShe is able to contact me directly to discuss
