I bought a 2001 VW Jetta from this business. They gave me shady answers when the DAY AFTER I bought the car, the engine light came on and remained on no matter what was done by my own expense to fix the car. Here is what I will tell you of my purchase- I bought a car for $2700, and in one year I put $3000 into just keeping it on the road at ALL, and right now, I have a dead car that cannot start, even though the VW dealer says if I put in another $3000, they can get it to run. I am a single mom with an income of less than $20,000. I got fleeced, to be polite. Please do not buy anything from these crooks.

I purchased car from this dealer and check engine light came on two hours after leaving lot. I asked for refund could not get a refund from dealer.I believe I was sold a car under false pretense for capital gain by dealership. I have reason to believe this dealer knew there were issues with car and reset check engine light to get car inspected and long enough to get car sold. The first week of April 2015 I purchased a[redacted] from this dealer. After 2 hours of leaving the dealer the check engine light came on. I called dealership and was informed by[redacted], that they had issues with check engine light earlier in the week and put in after-market O2 Sensor and reset code which they believe was causing the engine light to illuminate. I was told to bring car back in so they could read the codes. The mechanic looked over car reset code and informed it was a gas cap issue that was causing engine light to come on and reset code turning off the check engine light again. A few hours later after leaving car lot again the check engine light came back on. I called back and told this the check engine light is not due to a gas cap issue and asked for a refund of my money. I was told once again to bring car back in ... took car back in the mechanic at shop dealership hooked car up to machine that read code for issues with car then reset engine with machine to turn off check engine light, this is illegal to turn off to get car inspected or to sell to customer. The owner gave me run around sending me to another auto shop to get check engine light off. The car was NEVER properly worked on as the check engine light was NEVER corrected and turned off (check engine light was only reset), they just continued to reset the check engine light which would come right back on few hours after leaving dealership everytime. From day one of purchase I have been going back and forth for months now and the problem is still not fixed and I'm tired of getting the run around any longer from this dealer , being sent to another repair shop , or call and get talked to rudely trying to get something fixed that the dealer promised to be fixed. This dealer is very messy and dishonest . I have asked for service receipts and proof that parts were purchased and I was refused proof of purchase of parts receipts. The wife of owener hung up on when when I called and remained persistant to get receipt of parts as I didn't believe parts had been purchased. I would advise all future consumers that are interested in purchasing car from this car lot to take the car to another dealer to have the cars looked over and get a car fax report as this dealer is not 100% honest with their customers about the cars they are selling. I don't want anyone to get a lemon like myself and have to spend out thousands getting it fixed. I'm sure the dealer will continue to be dishonest and respond to my complaint trying to discredit my complaint like the other complaint online they tried to discredit from another customer , but I have proof thar what I'm saying is true and will be pursuing legal actions if necessary to get this problem resolved.Desired SettlementI would like the dealership to fix what they promised they would fix and not send me to one of their mechanic friends that will be dishonest on work performed. I also want to inform other possible future customers to beware of this dealership and have a diagnostic completed on their cars prior to purchasing to avoid them being scammed out of their money like I was with the lemon I was sold . I would like half of my purchase price ($2300) refunded to me get the car properly fixed by a certified mechanic not one of the dealer friends. Business Response There is no such thing as resetting the check engine light just to get it inspected and sold. The inspection process is computerized therefore we cannot beat the computer. The Car has to be operating properly for it to pass inspection. The Customer knew about the check engine light and the O2 before she purchased the car. Like she stated in her complaint also she test drove the car after that and was happy with it. We were honest with her and didn't withhold any information about the car. Consumer Response I am not satisfied with the dealer's response, as the statement "The Customer knew about the check engine light and the O2 before she purchased the car. Like she stated in her complaint also she test drove the car after that and was happy with it. We were honest with her and didn't withhold any information about the car." is a fabricated lie at its best! The day I went to dealership and test drove and purchased car there was absolutely no check engine light on or did it come on during my test drive. I'm appalud and in disbielf the dealer would tell such a bogus story about me knowing about a check engine light or O2 at time of purchase. It was not until later in evening after I purchased the car and left the lot a couple hours after I purchased the car the check engine light came on. At no time during my initial visit to the car lot to test drive car was or did the check engine light come on the vehicle. As I stated this dealer is lying! I would not have knowingly purchased a vehicle with the check engine light on. I strongly feel this dealership did in fact withhold information about the car. I feel they knew about the check engine light and did in fact turn it off prior to purchase . The dealer also stated in his response "There is no such thing as resetting the check engine light just to get it inspected and sold." That statement is also fabricated. There is equipment to turn off check engine light that can be used to reset computer in car that will deactivate check engine light for it it pass inspection , but will come back on within 24 hours (This is illegal). This equipment is called an ob2 reader etc..I feel as though this dealer strung me along continuously having me to bring the vehicle back and forth with false attempts to make repairs long enough for me not to be able to take legal action for selling me a lemon. I requested a refund 1 day after purchasing car but dealer refused. After the check engine light came on I was weary of this dealership. I recorded all calls to and from this dealer about my puchase and the check engine light coming on .Everything in his statement is a lie and I have recorded conversations that proves he was telling a lie in every thing he stated in the respone. I'm seeking half of my purchase price refunded to get the car properly repaired. I'm asking to be contacted by Revdex.com directly to see if there is anything I can do legally at this point and possibly listen to the recorded converstaions to prove this dealer lied in his posted statement.

I am sending a complaint about my service conducted at House of Chrome, LLC. I never received an estimate on the services conducted.[redacted] who was the individual I conducted business. with quoted me with the price of the services conduct which was $1,000 dollars for putting on my head for[redacted].He called back to stated another price due to more work being done because the car had an oil link as well. He then quote the price to be $1,600 dollars. He explained to me it will tae at least three weeks before they coud starting om my vehicle. So I called back and he increase the price because I didn't come and retrieved my vehicle when I told him I would. I came that Friday, January 16th so I would not accumalate more charges to my bill. When I came he did not have any receipts or estimate for amy of the parts. [redacted] told me he had given them to a lady from DMV. [redacted] promised me he would have my receipts the next day. I returned to the place of business of Jan. 17th to retrieved all my paperwork and get them to clean my car being that they were driving my vehicle around liek it belong to them. I asked [redacted] for my paperwork and he said the lady from DMV was out of the office until next week. I told him that my ingination is not working properly. He told me the mechanic was to busy and he wouldnt be able to check it today brign it back tomorrow.I took the vehicle home and it would not even turn. I got a mechanic to look over my car and all the parts came from Wagoners Auto Salvage. Desired SettlementI would like to get a refund of some of my money and will be going to a small claims court to try to retrieved at least $1,000 dollars back. I believe[redacted] and Home of Chrome, LLC also charge me for parts that came form the salvage and did not lawful provide good business.Business Response Mrs. [redacted] claim is false, I delt with her husband in the beginning of the service. Her husband told me what he wanted fixed and that's what we did. After 30 days we put a lien on the Vehicle due to failure to pay for the service. I called her husband numerous times did not get an answer. They contacted me about 3 months later. This was not an HOCC,LLC error. This was a customer that could not satisfy their bill. I followed all of the dmv guildlines with the lien process. It is not my fault they could not pay...
