I have gone to this Business about four times starting about years agoI called the business and Mr Shpigel told me he is a Swiss Watch trained watchmaker as I needed a battery change for my LonginesAll went well that time and the second time I thought tooThen a few weeks later the crystal fogged upI went back to see Mr Shpigel and he looked at my watch and his wife Sofia told me the watch pin was openI had paid a $about three years before and so I thought the watch was done, it was years oldMy father, who is dying from Dementia gave me a new Longines three years agoWhen the battery ran down I had the battery changed by Mr Shpigel and all seemed ok but I had to go back and get a new battery after one yearI was surprised so because they usually last about two yearsI had the battery changed and the same day the watch gained time, lost time and then stoppedI went to a different Watchmaker at Neiman Marcus and he turned over my watch in front of me and saw that the watch had a rusty screw and case back black seal was bulging out from the sideLongines Stainless Steel screws don't rustWhen the Neiman Marcus watchmaker opened up the watch there was lubricant on the coil of the movementIt had no water seal and the lubricant was fingerprinted on parts of the watchI haven't checked but I believe my old Longines fogged up for the same reason, the water seal was lostSo I am looking at nearly $to restore my new Longines watch on a gambleMr Shpigel does shonky work and I believe he has damaged two watches before I realised what a bad workman he isHe advertises that he can do battery and watch repairs on ALL brandsBut he does not have the parts it seems or the competence!
