My biggest concern is that they are not able to continue this practice of selling incorrect, substandard or faulty tires If they are not safe enough to pass state inspection, they should be penalized for selling them to unsuspecting consumersThere no refund policy - even if they put the wrong tires on the car - is unacceptable and unfair to people who are not able to afford a new set of tires It is a bait and switch scam and they should be closed down They aren't just stealing money, they are risking the lives of those who drive in unsafe vehicles as a result as well as other innocent travelers on the roadway

Review: I purchased a new tire on Jan ** 2015 from house of tires and today 1 30 had a completely flat tire when I tried to change the tire the lug nuts were stripped so I was unable to change them I had to have car towed to house of tires where they told me I had a bubble again in the tire .. minutes later they said it's not the tire it's the rim... then they told me nothing is wrong with it they just didn't clean it properly the last time they put the tire on. When I said that this dangerous and how could they do that and that I would not be using them again. They told me to just get out they didn't need my business anyway blaming me for the tire. I asked so what's wrong with it. They said nothing.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund on the tire so I can get it looked at by another more reputable tire place. I am afraid they are lying and my car may not be safe.

Thank you for sending me the attached information. It is very unfortunate that [redacted] felt the need to file a complaint with the Revdex.com regarding her experience at House of Tires on January **,2015. [redacted] was in House of Tires on January **, 2015 to get a new tire because of a bubble on the sidewall of her tire that could not be repaired. We explained that she got a bubble from an impact such as a pot hole, and she agreed to the new tire. On Saturday, January [redacted] called us irate and confrontational because her tire was flat. She was yelling at the employee on the phone saying that "her tire fell off the car". My employee asked her to bring the car in for us to check out. She was screaming at him on the phone because the tow truck driver could not get the lug nuts off the wheel to change the tire. She was blaming our establishment for that. When the car got towed to us, we found out the tow truck driver was using the wrong size lug nut wrench to try to remove the lug nuts and that's why he couldn't get them off. The tow truck driver in turn then stripped the lug nuts by using the wrong tool. When she came in the store finally she was immediately confrontational and irate. We explained to her we needed to check out the tire and see what was going on. We then explained to her that her wheel had some corrosion that built up on it and because of that it was causing a leak of air from around the rim where the tire and wheel seal. We never told her she had a bubble on that tire. We then explained that she drove on the tire with low air in it and that's what caused it to go flat. With that, [redacted] began yelling at the employee making a ton of false accusations. It was very loud and obnoxious behavior that made other employees stop what they were doing and come in from the shop into the office. Our head mechanic, and employee for House of Tires for over 25 years came in to see what he could do to remedy the situation. She was not listening to anything they were trying to explain to her. There were other customers in the waiting area that were feeling uncomfortable. So the employee then asked [redacted] to leave the establishment because there was nothing else to explain to her. After she left the other customers actually said to the employees that they were surprised they didn't ask her to leave sooner because of the way she was acting.[redacted] never called to speak to myself, the [redacted].I really wish she could have asked to speak to me after this situation instead of turning to social media and review sites to bad mouth our business. We have been in business since 1959, serving the Levittown and surrounding areas through three generations. We pride ourselves on doing the right thing by our customers and being honest and fair. Please contact me for any further information regarding this matter. Thank you. Sincerely,[redacted]House of Tires

Review: This company makes a living ripping people off. The sold me four of the wrong sized tires (I ordered [redacted]) after confirming they had my size in stock and never telling me they subbed the alternate size (They put [redacted] which is too wide of a tire for my car). I had to go back for two flats in two days and then needed to order all new tires so it would pass inspection after all that. They were very difficult to work with. They told me by phone I would receive a full refund for the amount of my original bill ($187) and they would offer an additional discount for the inconvenience & lost time from work if I ordered four new tires and brought my car in that day. They said my total when I arrived that day would be $160. They were going to apply the full $187 to the new tires which would be $340 before tax. When I arrived there was a woman there who was in tears from this very same issue. She bought her tires and they would not pass inspection because they weren't the right size (too wide). They wouldn't take them back and wouldn't exchange for the correct size. Told her that she had to buy all new tires. They apologized to me for all the inconvenience and said they would get my new tires on right away. Then after the tires were on, they charged me $210 instead of the $160 and insisted they never agreed to that. Bait & switch, non-existent customer service. Even the cashier was apologizing to me and telling me he knew it was wrong and wished he could help. The owner herself came in and absolutely refused to work with me. She claimed not to speak English but then started yelling at me in English saying the person didn't have the authority to tell me my price would be $160. That's an issue with her employee, not me, the customer. Also, they advertise an authorized inspection station but it is "Not functioning" right now.Desired Settlement: I would like them investigated and appropriate measures taken. I have since read several online reviews of this business doing the same exact thing to other customers. It is not right and they should be fined or put out of business. You can't sell someone something, give customers something different and not be responsible for that.
