We asked Mr. [redacted] to leave his vehicle so we can verify the complaint. This is the first step in a Customer's complaint, to verify their issue.  He didn't want to leave it. So we didn't have an opportunity to experience his issue in our shop or put it up on a rack to drop the pan. There is no such thing as a Transmission Filter Gasket. There is a Transmission Filter and a Transmission Pan Gasket. We changed the Transmission Filter & filter seal(small o'ring that comes with filter) and reused the Transmission Pan Gasket because his type of transmission has reusable gaskets.  It's not on his bill, the Transmission Pan Gasket, because we didn't replace it, we replaced the Transmission Filter - which is on the bill. The dirty picture he has is after driving 7K miles/7 months.  This is normal transmission sediment.  We did the service we charged him for. A Transmission Service to a vehicle does not cause the Transmission to go bad.  When he came back and our Tech took it for a test drive with him, they didn't experience the issue.  Our Tech checked the fluid in front of Mr. [redacted], it wasn't burnt and it was full.  Since we were not given the opportunity to verify his complaint, and he had taken it to another shop after 7K miles/7 months of driving with said issue, we don't believe we owe Mr. [redacted] any refund. The invoice he signed says all warranty work needs to be performed in our shop. Trans Service was done, filter replaced, gasket reused, we didn't lie to the Customer, trans service does not make a transmission slip or go bad.

Mr. [redacted] is a first time customer that made an appointment on 9/21/16 to bring his 2005 Chevy Impala in on 9/23/16.  The vehicle had 81,620 miles on it, and left with 81,624 miles. We performed a Trans Service and a Cooling System Flush and Refill.  Mr. [redacted] came back to All World...

stating he was having an issue with the transmission.  One of our techs, [redacted], went with Mr. [redacted] on a test drive and together they didn't experience the issue Mr. [redacted] was complaining about.  We asked him to leave his vehicle so we could look at it further, he couldn't leave it.  Mr. [redacted] then states he went to another repair facility to have the issue looked at.  This was after driving 7,451 miles with said issue. The repair shop stated that a trans service was never done.  This is untrue.  First, Mr. [redacted]'s transmission pan gasket in his vehicle is reusable.  We didn't see any leaks coming from the gasket and so it was reused. We didn't change it to save him money...he saved money because they are reusable and his was in good shape which saved him money.  There is a difference.  We told him the gasket is reusable and our story didn't change.  The picture he has of the transmission filter that the other shop took shows nothing but natural transmission sediment, and after 7,000+miles, this is what the filter would look like.  It also states on the bottom of Mr. [redacted]'s Invoice, that he signed, that all warranty work must be performed in our shop.  He came back to us with an issue, however the tech didn't experience that issue with him.  We asked him if he could leave the vehicle with us to look into his issue further, but he couldn't leave the vehicle.  So how can we stand behind anything when we can't even look at his vehicle?  One test drive in this case wasn't enough to find and determine what issue he was having.  During the 7,451 miles driving with that issue Mr. [redacted] should have came back to All World to have us look at his vehicle again.  With intermittent issues it is hard to pin down the issue unless we experience the issue in our shop.  Instead Mr. [redacted] took his vehicle to another shop, that unfortunately, has a reputation for ripping people off.  We have multiple vendors that don't service this particular shop for those reasons, and their online reviews back up their reputation.   It is not in our best interest as an honest family run business to cheat our customers out of what they are paying for.  We stand behind our work, and would have if Mr. [redacted] would have came back to us and gave us an opportunity to put his vehicle on a rack, took it for another test drive and we all experienced the issue he was talking about.
