We removed and replaced roof and raingutters and downspouts on this job.The property was completely overgrown. We did nothing to stain her deckAnd the overgrown plant damage cant be helped doing this type of job. This lady was very rude to me the contractor and the men.and never complained about anything until time to pay.? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:As I stated in my original letter, I was charged for the inconvenience of his crew NOT being able to back the truck down my driveway--causing the crew? to haul the old roof from the lower driveway, up to the roadway and throw the old roof into the truck.? As he stated several times during the bid-write-up? process THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR THIS ADDITIONAL WORK.? HOWEVER, that truck WAS BACKED down the driveway and damage was? sustained that I had paid to avoid according to his ADDITIONAL COSTS.? Unfortunately, I was not even home during the time my roof was being replaced.? Occasionally, I? left after they arrived or came home before they left, but mostly? I was gone before they showed up? and they left before I got home.? ? I was about to have? a complete knee replacement, requiring me to keep the knee flexible and myself stress-free.? (I am yrs old and this is the first surgery I had ever had, and my blood pressure was a problem.)? On the day they finally removed the roof, I came home to find the truck in my driveway, and assumed there would be a credit to my bill as his crew did not have to do the extra work he had anticipated and so carefully laid out and charged me for.? When he came to collect the balance and he had not made a monetary correction,? I realized either he had NOT told his crew to haul the old roof out? or they chose to do it their own way and not tell him.? I then? pointed out the damages that were caused by the truck, showing him that? the hauling process NEVER TOOK PLACE, the additional work NEVER TOOK PLACE.? He made no? offer to correct the charges.? He was also shown? the damage to the honeysuckle that was cause by his crew climbing over my north side fence, which should never have been necessary as there is a foot driveway on the south side of the house.? (And as stated in my letter, that end of the house is stories high, requiring a special ladder, but there was NO REASON for them to access that end of the house as the west & east side was less than feet from either the deck in back or the porch in front.? Also, the deck & the front porch were completely cleared,? free of everything, so there was no reason they couldn't use those access points.)? When I pointed out the loose railing which I could only assume the crew had stood on, he stated he could tighten the bolts to secure the loose railing on my BRAND NEW DECK.? Why was the railing loose??? It hadn't been earlier in the week? I did show him the staining on the deck and it was attributed to water, but that was NOT the case as the stains? are there and when water was poured on them it beaded.? ? SO, the truck WAS NOT SUPPOSE to be on the driveway;? therefore, none of the ornamental items had been removed nor had the hedge been tied back.? The? damage to the honeysuckle was not anticipated as why would they even be on that side of the house---the truck block the driveway access to my back yard and they chose to damage my homeysuckle to access the back yard.? The only time I was possibly rude is when I was asked to plug in an extension cord off the deck.? I entered my home to plug the cord in, only to find the worker FOLLOWING ME THROUGH MY HOME!!!? On the last day of work when the crew? was packing up & leaving, I did request the crew move the large pottery planter that they had been moved to allow the infamous truck down my? driveway be moved back.? Otherwise, ? I said nothing to the crew other than hellos and goodbyes.? Sincerely, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: He repeatedly stated during the bidding process that the price was high due to the inconvenience to his crew as they would have to manually haul the old roof from the lower driveway, to the street level, and then throw it into their construction truck. This did not take place, yet I was charge for this task. Instead, the truck was back down the driveway, the crew was NOT inconvenienced, and my property suffered the damage as I have stated previously in past letters. I truly believe that I should not only be awarded the damages, but the additional costs that were added to the roofing bill and charged to me to avoid this damage. The costs associated with the manual hauling, which the crew did not incur, should also be refunded, but I did not deduct those fees. I believe the 10% reduction in price is fair
Sincerely,

I didn't charge the additional charge, if I did I would put in in the contractHow much did I charge you for not going down the driveway?
