If you need someone to make sure your electrical receptacles work & toilets work this is your companyHave a dryer vent issue that they don't inspect that a shoemaker must have installed; that is home purchaser responsibility to inspect, as so many other items areAs for the electrical; lights have a tendency to get brighter & dimmer all on their ownMight as well get an HVAC company as their standard answer is looks good for the age of the units; but might want to get an HVAC guy to check it out !!! Back to the toilets they did all flush but two of the three inside tank were held together with twist ties; oh well !! I could go on & on about how it would take 2-hours to complete but they did my sqfthouse in hoursDo NOT use this company !!

On a positive note, the technician, John G***, appeared knowledgeable about the plumbing business, however his business ethics and customer service skills are quite questionable and lacking .We had initially contacted this Miller plumbing in error, thinking we were contacting another plumber whom we have used in the past and have been quite happy withMr G*** recently installed a hot water heater for usthe cost was significantly above average but we needed the heater replaced and he was able to do itWe also discussed ongoing sewage backup issues with Mr, G***He used a video camera briefly to identify issues that we were already somewhat aware ofThe problem started when Mr G*** suggested that he excavate in the front corner of our house and install a new P trap after removing a section of terracotta and replacing it with new piping .He also strongly suggested that we line our exterior pipes feet and interior pipes about feet at a cost of $150,a foot due to our recurrent backups in the systemWe signed a written agreement to have the section of terracotta removed and P trap installed at a cost of approx$ which we paid immediately after the work was completedAfter much discussion with other competent plumbers, one of which is very familiar with our ongoing plumbing difficulties, we opted not to do the lining mainly due to the exorbitant cost of this solution, Mr G*** became very angry and argumentative with my husband and myself when told that we decided not to the liningWe verbally discussed the lining but at no time did we enter into a written contractHe would not discuss other options and it was clear that he insisted on the lining because this option would be most profitable for his companyWe tried to make Mr G*** understand that this was our choice as the customer to make but he continuously became angry and talking to him was pointlessHe stated we needed to sign a waiver stating the company could not be held responsible for further plumbing problems because we did not do the liningI refused to sign anything because we never entered in a binding contract to do the lining in the first placeWe are now working with another company who is honest, reasonable and willing to work with the customer to get the job done with a satisfactory outcome that all parties agree uponOur experience with Miller plumbing was an expensive lesson learnedI would never use this company again

Had to have my combination boiler/water heater replaced after my last unit was discontinued and had an issuePainless process from start to finish Eric and Allan were helpful and attentive with any questions I had, and got the job done quickly Will continue to use them for any plumbing, heating or electrical work in the future

I called Miller Plumbing because my water heater had died after many years of operation I talked to Eric on the phone and he patiently listened to my needsThe next morning he had sent John to the rescue John took a look at the situation and explained what needed to be done and what the cost would be He was knowledgeable and explained things thoroughly The installation of a new high quality water heater went smoothly and John made sure everything was left safe and tidyOverall the service was great, the price was fair, and they were able to meet my needs in a very short timeframe I would definitely recommend them

First off I'd like to say that Miller Plumbing Pittsburgh was very responsive to my needs and performed good clean workHowever upon request for an itemized bill of material costs because I wanted to see if I could write any of the costs of my taxes they flat out refused and played dumb and couldn't tell me the actual cost and said no other company gives an itemized billHas anyone ever have an oil change? So I had to go out and hunt down an estimate on material and labor costs myselfHere is the break downWater Heater same model $Couldn't find the same model expansion tank but a similar type from home depot is $I figure is fair enough for additional materials$an hour labor x hours of work $for a grand total of $1,Of course I rounded up Now I feel as though I have been stripped and raked over hot coalsThese guys turned out to be real crooks and should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of people like thatYes I could have turned them down but it being a few days before Christmas I didn't want to chance itOh and then there is the $trip charge that they couldn't even take off the bill for actually doing the work Good life lesson on why you should always get a second opinionOh did I mention that after shutting the gas off for installation of the water heater they never re-lit the pilot for my furnace bringing the temperature down to degrees......stay away from them
