I used a deglosser(liquid sand) on all wood surfaces This is a widely used alternative to sand paper There were no steps skipped in the preparation for painting I even painted more coats then quoted without charging more to keep customer happy I warned that there would be
some chipping with fresh white paint over previously stained wood I have offered to come and do touch ups but have not been allowed to do so Would take me min to fix the areasI will gladly come do the touch ups when they are ready

I do not believe that a liquid sander/deglosser was used on all of the surfaces as Josh statesDuring the project I asked him about the prep process and he stated that he used a liquid deglosser on the wood that was sprayed in the garage (doors and cabinet doors)The rest of the wood did not have anything used on it and I'm certain of that as I was at home for most of the project and never smelled this product being usedJosh sent me info on the specific deglosser that he claims to have used inside the house and reviews say that is has a very strong odorIt also says that it should only be used in a well ventilated area and NOT around pregnant peopleI was months pregnant during this project and would be EXTREMELY concerned if he did indeed use that product without my knowledge or consent and without extra ventilationI would like him to admit that NOTHING was used on the interior wood.Regarding touch-ups, that is NOT an acceptable solution to usHe has touched up no less than four times already and the paint just keep coming off with very little contactIt's not adhering properly to the wood due to the fact that a proper prep process was NOT usedTouching up over and over again is not something we can live with1-chips I could see, but we've had dozens in only a few short monthsThis is WRONG. We paid a professional price for professional results and that is not what we gotWe either need a refund of the full amount (or most of the amount) or have him pay to have us replace our wood and have the surfaced stripped, sanded and re-done.As far as quality, Josh assured us at multiple points during the project that the paint should not chip or peel unless hit hard enough to damage the woodWe have paint peeling off from our fingernails tapping to open cupboards, from running our hand down our railing, from bumping a door frame with a braceletIt is ridiculous and completely unacceptable
