On several occasions, I spoke with the UAB billing office in regards to sending my billing information for work-related injury to the Department of LaborI instructed a representative that they would need to enroll as a provider on the owcpmed.dol.gov siteIn addition, I informed the representative that I need the bill with the worker's compensation claim number (I provided this information) and provider ID number on each page of the bill sent to the Department of Labor office because the bill sent prior was rejected because the required information was not included on the billA representative informed me that the case is pendingI have been given the run around for two months now in which some representatives are very rude and won't let me give them instructions on how to process the case as relayed by the Department of Labor

UAB turned my bill over to collection agency before sending me a bill
My daughter had surgery at UAB on August 13, We received a multitude of bills from the hospital Each bill was paid as it was received On October I received an additional bill and with it was a letter from a collection agency This was the first bill that I received for these particular services and I was astonished that there was a letter from a collection agency! I immediately went online and paid the bill The check cleared my bank on October My daughter received a phone call from their collections agency on November I returned their call and told them that I had paid the bill in full and I emailed them a copy of the check that had cleared my account in the amount of the bill Today I received another postcard from the collections agency regarding the bill My husband contacted them and they said that they had received the check but it was not applied to the bill
