We came out to her home and measure to do a title replacement job, this job required removing existing quarter roundWhen title installation was completed customer did not want quarter round back on but because the baseboard was scratched in the process of removing the quarter round (which is common in this type of installation) I suggested/offered at no extra cost to repaint her baseboard in tile area That day, 1/28/she gave us a check for $payment, still owing $from her total invoice and signed off on the job, with the agreement that we would send out a painter to do a 2nd coat of paint on the baseboard that following Saturday 01/and that is when she would pay the remaining balance of her invoice ($300)A day or two later when trying to confirm the appointment she was not answering the phone or texting backI asked [redacted] to call her and she told him that she did NOT want him to come back out, I figured that she was avoiding my calls to try to avoid paying the balance, so I text her letting her know that we were still owed $and if we didn't receive payment we have the right to put a lienOnce she saw that she starting texting me saying she was not happy with the tile work and that we broke her dryer and she had to get someone else to come out and finish the job, not even giving us a chance to even respond to her complains she placed a stop payment on the check she wrote on 1/ Since then we have contacted the [redacted] police department to get involved because she wrote us a hot check My assistant spoke to her and tried to resolve this matter, we had an agreement that she would re-issue a check and we would give her a signed conditional waiver of any liens once that 2nd check clears and no stop payment is madeWe would even send some one out to her home and take a look at the work she claimed to be unhappy with and she how we can help her.She agreed, I sent someone to her home and then she refused to give us the check until we gave her the waiver (which we would not give unless check was received)She has also contacted [redacted] to complain, claiming she received our information on their (which she did not)We received her contact information from [redacted] He did some kind of work for her boyfriend [redacted] and that how we were referred to her and began contactShe believed that [redacted] should reimburse her for a payment that she hasn't even paid since she stop payment on check I spoke to the detective yesterday and we agreed to meet tomorrow at our office and she would bring the check but I received a call from the detective today informing me that she does not want to meet tomorrow anymore because she believes that [redacted] will resolve this matter Sincerely, Juan O***Houston Discount Floors LLCAirport BlvdSuite C-Houston, TX Office: (713) 923-5503Direct: (713) 454-4724Fax: (713) 923-

Sent: Wednesday, March 25, 10:AMTo: drteamSubject: Fw: Complaint ID: *** The email highlighted below is similar to the email sent to you as part of our story to this situation. Since then, *** *** has rules out this issue as satisfied. We spoke to the customer and she agreed to reissue the check she originally wrote, in the agreement that we would not proceed with any criminal charges or liens to her home (we provided her with a signed lien waiver) The *** *** has a fraud check department that had agreed to take the case since customer wrote a check for the services and signed a completion formI understand that she claimed some damages were done to her washer or dryer and we agreed to go take a look at it but not until payment was reissuedThe total invoice was for $1500, she only paid $to usWe agreed to settle the the whole thing by giving her a lien waiver if she reissued the $check, which she didThat left a balance of $for the work that we did, which we agreed not to collect since she claimed she spent $fixing the dryer or washer connection. This matter was was closed and resolved, customer received credit for the $expense and lien waiver. We came out to her home and...

measure to do a title replacement job, this job required removing existing quarter round. When title installation was completed customer did not want quarter round back on but because the baseboard was scratched in the process of removing the quarter round (which is common in this type of installation) I suggested/offered at no extra cost to repaint her baseboard in tile area.  That day, 1/28/15 she gave us a check for $1200 payment, still owing $300 from her total invoice and signed off on the job, with the agreement that we would send out a painter to do a 2nd coat of paint on the baseboard that following Saturday 01/31 and that is when she would pay the remaining balance of her invoice ($300). A day or two later when trying to confirm the appointment she was not answering the phone or texting back. I asked [redacted] to call her and she told him that she did NOT want him to come back out,  I figured that she was avoiding my calls to try to avoid paying the balance, so I text her letting her know that we were still owed $300 and if we didn't receive payment we have the right to put a lien. Once she saw that she starting texting me saying she was not happy with the tile work and that we broke her dryer and she had to get someone else to come out and finish the job, not even giving us a chance to even respond to her complains she placed a stop payment on the check she wrote on 1/28.
Since then we have contacted the [redacted] police department to get involved because she wrote us a hot check.
My assistant spoke to her and tried to resolve this matter, we had an agreement that she would re-issue a check and we would give her a signed conditional waiver of any liens once that 2nd check clears and no stop payment is made. We would even send some one out to her home and take a look at the work she claimed to be unhappy with and she how we can help her.She agreed, I sent someone to her home and then she refused to give us the check until we gave her the waiver (which we would not give unless check was received).
She has also contacted [redacted] to complain, claiming she received our information on their (which she did not). We received her contact information from [redacted] . He did some kind of work for her boyfriend [redacted] and that how we were referred to her and began contact. She believed that [redacted] should reimburse her for a payment that she hasn't even paid since she stop payment on check.
I spoke to the detective yesterday and we agreed to meet tomorrow at our office and she would bring the check but I received a call from the detective today informing me that she does not want to meet tomorrow anymore because she believes that [redacted] will resolve this matter.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.
This matter is not resolved. I am not satisfied with the
outcome of this issue. I reissued the check to the company (not the GM) however
I paid a total of $1500 as per the agreement (see text messages). The job was
not completed, and the damage to my property was not settled. Also, per my
attorney and [redacted] Police Department, this is a civil issue. There were no
criminal charges ever filed. I had every right to stop payment on a check
payable to the GM, who appeared to be defrauding the company. Also, in the text
messages you will find these agreements were all authorized by Juan O[redacted].
I was also advised by the detective at [redacted] PD that I
should file a suit in small claims court. I have more than enough evidence to
prove my case. I thought this company would try to make good on their word however
it is clear this is a dishonest company.
Regards,
