I [redacted] am not in agreement with the response from Mr. [redacted]. He says that I did not allow him to repair the problem with the motor of the [redacted] Sentra 2002. He tried to fix the problem three times. he took the car in July of 2013 and delivered it to me on 12/13/2013 and 30. 4 weeks later he took it for a second time since because he was not perfect and commits mistakes. On that occasion he left the motor leaking oil. After that it was supposedly the noise it was making was fixed. six to eight weeks later he takes it for a third time because it was making the same noise on the side of the timing belt. On that instance, we made an agreement. If this time the problem was not fixed 100%, he would no longer attempt to fix the motor and only a different mechanic would do the job and he would return a certain amount of money or I would seek legal options. We signed a document after the car was giving me problems I sent him messages and he came to see the problem, He told me the spark plugs had no spark. He then verbally told me that if it was the motor he would refund my money because if something doesn't get successfully repaired in three attempts, he would not be able to fix it. I had another mechanic come over and he did see a spark I took a video and sent it to him via video message to prove it did have spark. Since Mr. [redacted] did not accept to pay the $ 1,000.00 per our signed agreement I now believe he should be made responsible to return the money paid in its totality for the inferior services performed.

In June of 2013, Mr .[redacted] and myself made an agreement for the repair of...

a [redacted] Sentra Motor 2.5.
We made the agreement without first uncovering the motor. When I opened up the motor, I found that the timing belts were incorrectly installed and the camshaft were damaged in addition the valves were twisted. This was not part of the agreement. I then let Mr. [redacted] know that this is at extra cost. I told him to bring the vehicle so he could see what was going on. He gives me money to buy the parts. All this Mr. [redacted] saw with his own eyes.
What was damaged and was not part of the initial price had gave him. Knowing Mr. [redacted] wouldn't like the additional work since it was an expensive motor. It took time to get all the damaged parts and he was aware of everything.
Once we had all the parts, I put together the motor, put it in the car, once I test the car, I realize the transmission does not work. I call Mr. [redacted] to come and look, we reached an agreement to fix the transmission for the amount of $500 dollars. Once finished, I turned over the car to him.
He immediately called me to tell me the car had turned off on him. I told him to keep driving the vehicle like that and to call me if it happened again. He called me a week after telling me the car was not good and had no strength. I went to check it and it was the catalytic converter that was plugged. I told him to fix it, then call me to see what happened. He called me 2 days later saying that everything was good and the car ran like normal.
He used the vehicle for some days, maybe a week or two. I don't recall very well. He then calls me and tells me that the car had been leaking all the oil and that he was stranded on the freeway. I told him to take the car home and I would go there to pick it up since I was out of Sacramento. When I pick up the car. I check it and in effect find it had no oil. I put oil in it and got it to run. The car was totally neglected. I had to take down the motor a second time.
When I took the crankshaft and the block to get checked out. I was told none of them worked. I had to buy a completely new block, rings and metals, once again. I returned the vehicle to him in the month of March. When I returned the car, the radiator was broken from the top portion. I informed Mr. [redacted] of this and do not know when he actually changed it out. In addition, he also needed to have done two oil changes minimum. Passing this in December, he sent me a message, telling me that the car struggled to turn on. I returned the call, but he did not answer. Another week passed and he sends me another message. I call him back again and he does not answer. When I finally established communication.
He told me the car would not start. We agreed on a day to check it out and he could get a battery. When I try to start the car it intends to start but since I did not take the necessary tools. We agreed to check out the vehicle the following day. When I checked the compression. I find it is low in compression there was no spark in the plugs. I told him I had to check out the vehicle to find the reason why there was no spark. He then lets me know, he no longer wants me to work on his vehicle because he had somebody else check it out and the chain had jumped some links. I told him that he needed to have spark to find out what was wrong with the vehicle.
He proposed we take the vehicle for diagnostic. I told him yes. We agreed on a day to go but on that same night he sends me a video where it looks like there is a spark but I did not answer. On the agreed upon day to take the vehicle to the diagnostic, I called him like at 11 in the morning and he told me he had already taken it to a repair shop and he wanted his money back. I don't know what happened with the car. We had an agreement. I do not know what money he wants since he did not give me the chance to see what happened with the motor. All he told me is that he would see me in court.

Mr. [redacted] is not in agreement with me. I only want to know, why he did not let me open up the motor to know what the actual problem was. To see why the motor lost compression. He flatly refused to let me uncover the motor. A job done bad does not last 8 months, which is what the car lasted. In addition, to this, everytime I took the car I extended the time to respect his one year warranty. I only want to know the reason why he did not let me open up the motor. He also did not fulfill his part of the agreement that both of us would go get a professional diagnostic. He told me he was not going to be waiting for me and did not know anything else after that. An inferior repair, like he calls it, does not last eight months. I repeat once again, the car needed to have 2 oil changes done, minimum. when he took the vehicle, the radiator was broken, for some reason the car lost compression and he did not let me investigate.
