Dear *** ***, Thank you for taking the time to contact Exchange on the Apartment Homes to explain your dissatisfaction with your vehicle being towed. Per your lease agreement signed November 2015, “all vehicles that fail to comply with Landlord’s rules and policies stating
that vehicles that Landlord, in its sole judgement, deem to be non-operational, unsightly, or without current registration or current inspection, may be towed at the vehicle owner or Tenant’s expense.” On 9/14/a Silver Chevy Impala was tagged for a flat tire and a broken window. On this day, due to the vehicle being non-operational, the tow company also had to move the vehicle to another spot on property because per our hour notice, all vehicles needed to be moved from the carport on this date due to the carports being paintedOn 9/16/due to the car still being unsightly and non-operational, it was towed per my sole judgement. On Monday, September 19, 2016, I spoke with you via the telephone and explained to you the reason your vehicle was towed. I was also made aware on this date that the Chevy Impala was unable to be picked up from the towing company due to it being non-operational and the vehicle owner being unable to pay for the costs to get it repairedPer our lease agreement, which I have referenced above and also have attached to this letter we had every right to tow this vehicle at the tenant’s expense.
