Review: [redacted]'s paving put in a new driveway above the ground surface and then it cracked. After we reported this to him he stated that we had to fix the land. They also spread all leftover asphalt on the street which has been dug up by plows over the last two winters and we now have large asphalt pieces over the road and leaving an uneven surface. Which I'm sure our town is not happy about. He did make a repair on one crack and left a noticeable patch, and did not repair the other 4 -5 cracks. Also when confronted about these problems he very adamant and rudely told us not to call him again. When my wife spoke with him she stated that he was very firm and threatening.
[redacted] of [redacted] Paving is not a good business person. This service was done in June 2013.Desired Settlement: I would like the drive fixed so that it doesn't look like a patch job, and I definitely want the road cleaned up and finished off the right way. They sure wasted a lot of material that could have been recycled and reused.

Response:
[redacted]
was told several times the edge cracks were due to his driving his car off the
edges of the pavement. The edge is the weak point and he was told upon
completion of work to be sure he backfilled the edges and did not drive
off. He ignored both suggestions.
We returned
to patch the edges and clean up the road where the town plows had torn up
pavement. He was informed prior to repairs being made that the repair
would be noticeable.
There was
a repair made to the gutter at the entrance to [redacted]'s driveway with additional
asphalt as a temporary repair as he told us the town was coming in the fall to
repave the road and [redacted] was very thankful.
At no time
did I speak to his wife, all conversations were with [redacted].

Review: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Review: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: [redacted] told me about filling in the ground after the driveway was in and we called to tell him that the side had broken, we stayed off the driveway for a week. They ( workers) did come and patched the area, and that exactly what it is a patch. The driveway does not at all look like a new driveway as you can see by the attached photo's. And he also did speak to my wife, she was the last to call and speak to him, when he said " I'm warning you, do not call me again, you or your husband". The left over asphalt that they spread onto the street is all broken up ( in attachment) and pieces on the lawn and wasted material that could have been recycled. We do not want to get into any arguments, we just want the driveway to be repaired and look like a new one that we had paid for. I hope this can be rectified in an honorable manner. Sincerely,[redacted]
