Matthew Sr. called to respond to the complaint. He stated: the homeowner is trying to pull an insurance scam. I know this for a fact as he asked me to call his homeowner insurance company and ask them if he can get a new roof and ceiling for his 2nd floor apt, this was all prior to my starting the...

job. I told him I don't contact your insurance company, you have to. He wrote check to my son knowing it was going to rain, to start the job.   We took every precaution we could, to get it done prior to the rain, but with the homeowner and his tenants not complying, and staying out of our way, it took us longer, and we got caught on the roof in the rain. I have offered to fix whatever problem is going on, as I advised the homeowner, he agreed to this. But when his cousin told him there was not that much damage, he threw my company off the job the next morning, and hired another company, that he originally was going to hire.  The damages he is asking for, were done prior to our being hired to do the repair. The refund he is requesting is not going to be refunded, due to the work already done on the job. If there is any damage that his insurance company and mine, determine were my fault, I will either do the work, or pay for it. There is a gentleman that is on the roof,  after my company, who called me since he knows me, and informed me that this homeowner is making these damages out to be worse than they are, so that I will have to pay.
