Incompetent Staff
Howard University Hospital is an incompetent facility. The doctors in the clinic shared information in regards to patients, with staff. Your medical business was office business. Also, the doctors at Howard have a "holier than thou" attitude. They don't listen and collaborate with patients. If you do not agree or do what they expect, they give you minimal care. They lied on my medical records about what they have requested or did. Very unprofessional facility.

Review: I received service at the Hospital on 5/20/2013. My insurance [redacted] was billed on May 31, 2013 and payment to hosiptal was made on June 3, 2013. The hosptial sent me a bill $278.93 on 10/09/2014.

Review: I received emergency room services from Howard University Hospital on 11/25/2012. Since that time their billing department has failed to file the itemized claims for service to my insurance company. I have been forced to call the billing department every two weeks since I initially received my bill and they fail to do anything. They do not file the claim with my insurance company, they do not mail me the itemized bill so that I can forward to my insurance company, they do not fax me the itemized bill so that I can forward to my insurance company ([redacted]) and every time I call they promise to follow through on my request. I have even gotten my insurance company representative on the phone with their billing department and yet they still fail to file my claim.

This bill has been outstanding since November of 2012 and is not a trivial amount. I need to have this situation resolved so that I can pay what I owe and move on. I am tired of calling every two weeks only to receive inept, actually no service whatsoever. I have no idea how to motivate this billing department to do their job in a timeful manner and I'm tired of them lying to me every two weeks or ignoring my requests.Desired Settlement: Please, please, please file my claim with my insurance company so that I can pay what I owe. This bill has been outstanding since November of 2012. What more do I have to do?
