There are issues with shingles installed by Ottawa Carpentry last fall which were reported to the company but are not being addressed
Ottawa Carpentry was hired to install shingles on our roof in November They installed *** Shingles starting on 23rd of November There is a significant dip on one side of the roof which was not notified to me by the company or its sub-contractors This dip can significantly reduce the life of the roof I have also consulted with my home inspector and other people who agree that the dip should have been notified and fixed when the shingles were being with minimal cost to me
I have complained several times about this to Ottawa Carpentry by telephone and emailThe company offered to fix the problem by charging me full amount less cost of plywood in Spring I offered to provide the material and Ottawa Carpentry cover the cost of laborThis was in December

I had a REALLY BAD experience with Ottawa CarpentryWould never recommendThey hugely overcharged for what I've re-confirmed was a cheap roofing job that I had another roofing company inspect and then hire to and fix some of their workThey tried to charge me $3,+ HST for a cheap, roofing membrane torched over my existing garage flat roof of squares (sqft.)! hours of work! I did not agree to pay that, and still I overpaid at $3,to get them out, once and for allThe reputable roofing company I had to hire after them confirmed this is too much for the actual work Ottawa Carpentry didOttawa Carpentry does not tell you when they will be there to do work, and then stall when you keep askingThen a crew (always subcontractors...another warning sign) shows up unannounced and tries to re-negotiate the work they're supposed to do, only to suit their $$$ needs and not yoursTry complaining and the owner ignores you and sends an invoice
