The customer had second thoughts on repairs and we replaced the original chase top at his request The deposit was fully refunded on 10/14/and an install crew has been scheduled to verify the original cover was correctly reattached

At the time services were rendered, we were unaware that the customer had gone to very extensive lengths to make the home air tight Due to these circumstances, even with the fresh air intake, relieving any down drafts caused by negative pressure through the chimney is very difficult
The field supervisor has been in contact and we will be installing gas logs to attend to any potential wood burning smell issues
