The incident has not been resolved. Howard's has reached out to me twice. They did not answer when I called back after the first attempt. The second attempt interrupted a meeting. I asked them to call back an hour later. They did not.

This business has lied in their response.  They did NOT offer repairs free of charge, the only "offer" I received was to go through the appliances one by one and for them to offer me "tips" on what I might do (like use a dishwasher cleaner to fix the dishwasher).  They also lied about the service calls, they came out twice for the dishwasher, once for the fridge (ironically, they did, in fact, replace the rusted handle on the dishwasher, they say the didn't....).  We also just paid to have the oven fixed with a Frigidaire "approved" repairman.  Today, the rubber seal on the dishwasher fell off so there's another repair.  Howard's isn't going to do anything to fix this.  What I really want at this point is for the Revdex.com to launch an investigation into Howard's selling used/floor model appliances and passing them off as new to their customers.  I KNOW that's what they did with both myself and my sister.

Review: My elderly mother purchased a whirlpool washer and dryer. The washer does not work properly and within weeks she called inf for service. The repair man said it was fine and charged her $59.00. She realized that she was still having the same problem and has since had to call two addition times for service. The washer does not work. The store has said that it is not their problem as they only guarantee ithenproduct for one week. They sold her a broken washer and have done nothing to help her replace the washer. I went to the store myself and spoke with the manager and sales person, and all they did was apologize for not returning my call and say that we simply need to keep calling whirlpool Until they figure out that the machine is defective and hope they replace it. Shouldn't the store have more of a responsibility to help the customer with the issue? The managers response was that they just sell the product they don't manufacture it. He said they cannot pay to replace it despite the fact that prior to this matter my mother was a repeat customer. To make matters worse, a repair man told my mother that he is frequently seeing problems with that model and that whirlpool won't abide by the warranty and replace them. Why is Howards selling a product that had a history of being defective?Desired Settlement: All I want is for my the store to provide a properly functioning washer, for which she paid to have. She is a single person who is not using the washer excessively to cause it to malfunction. The store sold her the product and should ensure that it works properly. She should not be burdened by calling the repair men weekly because the problem has persisted, while the store does nothing to help.

Review: Bought new LG Refrigerator with full warranty from Howards. Refrigerant quit working. Notified Howards. It is now two months later and still it is not repaired. Totally frustrated. When we call for status we get no info or return calls. We get shuffled from store to service company to warranty company to manufacturing company and back again. No accountability or responsibility taken by Howards to solve the problem. We want refrigerator repaired or replaced ASAP!!Desired Settlement: Full refund for product or full replacement of product.

Review: I purchased a Maytag washer on January 19,2015. I was promised a delivery of January 21, 2015. The washer is not delivered until now and we have to go to public laundry places and spend over $100 to do our laundry, not to mention the time that we spend driving to and sitting around the laundry area for doing our laundry. Product_Or_Service: WahserDesired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation) I would like to have the business call me and let me know how they are going to resolve the situation. I would also want to be reimbursed for the money we spent going to the laundry mats.

Review: My wife and I bought our first home to start our family in Sept 2013. We went to Howard's TV & Appliance to purchase all brand new appliances. We purchase a top of the line, new [redacted] refrigerator along with [redacted] stove, microwave, washer & dryer. At the time we also purchase a Howard's extended warranty on the products. Upon delivery, our [redacted] refrigerator started having a lot of mechanical issues. We called Howard's to repair the fridge. They sent technicians to fix the fridge...it worked then broke again. Then we were told to call [redacted] direct so we spoke with [redacted] and had [redacted] order new parts for the fridge and send their technicians. The fridge still continued to have mechanical issues including a broken ice maker. We then called Howard's back again to replace the refrigerator for the same model but a new refrigerator since this once continued to break down. Howard's again sent another technician to our house who then ordered more parts and informed us that this was a "Lemon" fridge. After about 8 + visits to our home by [redacted] and Howards, we STILL do not have a refrigerator that is working properly. We have wasted so much time and money missing work for this visits.Desired Settlement: [redacted] will not replace my refrigerator with the same model, they will only give me a $1,900 credit. Howard's will not replace our lemon refrigerator with the same model, they will only lower the price from $3,599 to $3,199 per [redacted] at Howards. [redacted]

All we want is the same fridge we bought, same model #, just one that works properly since we worked very long and hard to pay such a large amount of money for such a "premium priced product"

We feel extremely taken advantage off and I am in the process of reaching out to attorney's to have the dispute settled in court if this attempt does not work.

Review: We purchased what we were told were brand new Frigidaire appliances (oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer) from Howard's 3 years ago. When first delivered, the freezer and fridge we sent back, they were obviously damaged. The fridge had to be replaced a week later, it was leaking. Several months later the fridge had to be repaired, it's still leaking and the stainless steel finish looks like it's peeling off. The dishwasher does not get dishes clean (they told us it was our water), the oven keeps going completely dead on us when we turn it on, the microwave sounds like it's grinding glass (repair man told us what is was and it's almost $200 to fix it), there are rust spots on the handles of everything, the freezer motor sounds like it's grinding glass as well. I found out my sister had the same issues with them, they send their fridge back twice when the boxes they were in showed obvious water damage. I believe Howard's is selling used/damaged/floor model appliances and trying to pass them off for new. We have $3000 of appliances from them that will cost us a fortune to repair or replace. Someone needs to investigate this business and shut them down before more people get ripped off (check their Yelp reviews, my sister and I are not the only ones they've done this to).Desired Settlement: The only way this could be settled to my satisfaction will never happen, they can come pick up their useless appliances, give me a full refund and I'll go buy somewhere else that actually sells new appliances.

Review: I purchased a floor model dryer and was promised by [redacted] it would have the same warranty as one not on the floor. He even sold me a 3 year extended warranty through Howard's. The dryer has had many issues and service repair men have been out several time. The dryer has had issue drying clothes and the power button keeps falling down inside the machine. Without the power button I cannot dry clothes! I called Howard's Tuesday because the power button has fallen into the machine again and Howard's sent out a GE repair man that was rude to my wife and said he could not fix the dryer and was going to charge $100.00 for the service call. I called Howard's and let them know what was going on, they said they could only send the same company back out even though I purchased the 3 year warranty. I requested they pick the dryer up and issue me a refund. They have denied my request and want to charge me $129 to send a Howard's repair man out. I was taken advantage by being sold a faulty floor model and a warranty that is not valid.Desired Settlement: I have tried getting the machine fixed, I want Howard's to pick up the dryer and issue me a refund.

There were two customer education calls by GE that do not count .. the tech stated that it was an issue with the Ducts being ran too long. There is one GE call on 5/28/2015 where a knob / switch was replaced. GE now refuses to service the cons due to the consumer cussing at our technicians . the ETA for that part is showing6/12/15 for it to hit he warehouses . Howards was out on June 1,2015 order the UI Board on a back ordered due to come in on 6/12/15 .. Howards will go back as soon as we get the part .Thank you[redacted]Corporate Office901 E Imperial Hwy Ste ELa Habra, Ca 90631p.[redacted]f. [redacted]

Review: After purchasing an LG fridge unit from Howard's of Upland about 5 months ago, I came home to find my fridge had gone out. Howard's told me they would do nothing for me. After a repair company came out to check my fridge they told me it needed a new compressor, that would take about a week or so to get and another few days to schedule the installation. Howard's as well as LG will not take my calls or return my message. It has been a week without a fridge, this is unacceptable and I am beyond upset.Desired Settlement: Replace my product I have spent over $[redacted] dollars with this company as soon as I have a problem I am on my own
