Review: Bought a vehicle at Howards Auto Sales on Febuary 23, 2013, when we went to get our registration there was no title in the County office in Chinook, MT. When we asked him about it he said he never had a title for the car and that he would put in for a lost title. that was April 4,2013. We have not recieved a title as of yet, we call him and he tells us something different all the time. Said the person who traded it in never had a title for the vehicle. We cant get a registration or plates for the vehicle nor can we drive it, due to the fact that we never recieved a title. the temporary registration that he gave us was up on April 04, 2013.Desired Settlement: I would like to keep the vehicle and get my $2500.00 back because this has caused us a lot of hardship. I was to be in Billings the end of April for a Custody hearing for our grandchildren, we missed it, due to the fact we didnt have a ride, and our grandchildren got placed in foster care. We missed job inteviews, had to pay people to give us rides for dr. appts, shopping etc. the mileage one way is 30-80 miles. We cannot drive this vehicle because we cant get plates or a registration.

I sold a car to a lady from Wolf Point MT and she traded a 1990 cadillac. She said she had the title to her trade at home and she would send me the title when she got back home which is 200 miles from my dealership. She called and said she couldn't find the title so we sent in an application for lost title from that she had signed when she had traded in the 1990 cadillac. [redacted] came in a bought the 1990 cadillac. We received the application for lost tittle back from the state they explained that the lady might own the trade but it is in her Dad's name and he needed to sign the A for LT form. I have contacted the previous owner repeatedly and even sent her the corret form and self addressed stamped envelope so all she had to do is get her dad to sign it and drop it in the mail. but all to no avail. I honestly don't know what to do at this point for the new buyer.
