BBB spoke to Steve at business and the following was relayed: The customer came in with his son. He needed spider gears for a rear differential. We tried to find good used parts, they were coming wrong and it was identified that it was a positraction. It is not recommended that the spider gears be... removed from the unit they are in. Approximately a week later the customer called and said the rear differential didn't fit. We told him to bring both pieces in and we would find something to fit. He only brought the one we sold him and it looked like it had either been hammered or dropped. We offered to replace, not refund the piece but he had to bring both in for us to look at. A few days later he did return with both. He stated that it would not fit but the Factory Part ID# shows that they are identical. The customer tried to take the 4 inner spider gears out of the piece we sold him and put them into his. There is a flat spot in the tone wheel. The piece was damaged by the customer and is not returnable, it was not damaged when we sold it.
