Review: 8/30/13 Howdys picked up 1971 Honda CB175 motorcycle w/oil leak. We signed agreement:$80 diagnosis.Requested bike fixed to safe and functional capacity,electric start fixed,check brakes,do mirrors+tires. Provided gaskets9/3/13 G[redacted] (mechanic) called :Needs: tires,tubes,chain,sprocket,tail light lens, head gasket,battery,Mirrors. Got it started, sounds great. Reminded him to check electric start+cables.We want it reliable and safe He said 2-3 wks.9/17/13 Called. G[redacted] will call you He did not.Howdys NEVER called US after 9/3/13. 9/21/13 Went in. G[redacted] said he put the wrong spark plug, causing valve damage. We will replace the valve at our cost. 2-3 wks10/15/13 Ordered valves, got wrong ones" 10/19/13 Went in. No valves. G[redacted] said cant find parts. cables would have to be custom. They agreed to let us find parts.That day we ordered valves,NOS cables,taillight10/29/13 Delivered valves,taillight,cable.It will be done end of the week. 11/2/13 Went in. Not done.11/16/13 Went in.its ready.$1162.91. No mirrors.Charged for battery=not installed.Electric start not working. Well have a battery in 3 days.Kickstarted.Broke down at 1 mile.Howdys picked it up.11/19/13 its ready. Electric started. In 4 miles, bike died rolling. Electric start not working. Kickstart jammed. Howdys picked it up.11/23/13 Went in.Had not been looked at.11/30/13 3 months total, 11 days since 11/19. Went in. They hadnt touched it. 12/4/13 Cam bearing broke due to a piece of paper towel left in engine. 2 wks. We said we asked that it be made safe and reliable but don't feel it is either. He said "that is all that is wrong,it will be fine."12/21/13 Went in.Discussed lengthy time repair has taken. Howdy blamed G[redacted], confirmed he left paper towel in engine12/24/13 Its ready.Electric started,drove 2.6 miles.Oil drips from crank case.Turn signal weak.Neutral light sporadic.Electric start worked once. At 2 miles, died rolling.No electric.REAR brake arm fell OFF! NO BRAKES!!Desired Settlement: I feel services were not provide as requested and agreed upon. This motorcycle was not correctly inspected nor is it mechanically sound, safe nor functional per the original agreement. 4 months have lapsed and I have a bike in the same or worse shape than when it went in. I am requesting a refund of $1100 to have my motorcycle fixed correctly and safely elsewhere.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 9852078, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
