Review: On may 3, 2014 bought a 2011 [redacted] ML350. Dealt with [redacted] sales person. At that time they were having 2 year prepaid maintenance plan. While looking at the vehicle we asked if we will have a 2 year prepaid plan [redacted] sales person told absolutely you will have the plan. A few hours later we were told we need to come back next day because vehicle needs to be cleaned out be ready for delivery. When we came back on May 4, 2014 we were told we need to put down extra $2,000 then later it went up to $3,000. We were not notified about it ahead of time and were not prepared for this either. We were confused because we already put a car as a down payment which was $7,000. We agreed and paid extra $3,000 plus gap insurance. We signed all documents and took the car. On October 8, 2014 we took the car to [redacted] in Wilkes Barre, PA for a routine service to our surprise we were told we don't have a prepaid plan. On that day I called Mercedes Benz of cherry hill, NJ to speak to [redacted] and figure out why we don't have a prepaid plan he did not return our phone call. I called on October 13, 2014 and I was being transferred to many people and not getting an answer. When I was finally transferred to billing department I was told it was too far back and they need to pull paper work out and they took my phone number and said they will contact me.Desired Settlement: We want a prepaid maintenance plan as promised.

Review: 1st issue happened about a year ago or so, I brought my vehicle in due to my air conditioner coming on and off intermittently. The service representative stated that the car had no leaks and charged it with Freon ($800). The air did work for a awhile them back to the same issue. I took my car in this year 5/31/13 to 6/10/13 with the same issue. After numerous voicemails and no timely returned calls, the rep stated that they could not figure out what was wrong with the air and that they may need to go in behind the engine to figure it out. I asked for an estimate and he could not give me one. He then stated that he would call me back with more info. I did not receive a call, I called again numerous times to find out that they still had no idea what the problem was so we informed them that we would come and pick up the car. I called the next day and was advised by our rep that the car was ready to be picked up. We arrived that afternoon and I noticed that it was still in the work bay with the hood up. We went back to the counter and the [redacted] had one of the guys bring it out. We were handed the keys, and we found a horrific view upon opening the door; the dash was apart, radio on the seat and glove box on the passenger seat floor. During the time that the vehicle was at the repair shop we rented a car through the rental company that they have onsite. We voiced out displeasure with the [redacted] and were advised by him that our rental fees would be taken care of. We have since received our credit card bill and there was the charge so we initiated a dispute with the credit card company. The outcome of the dispute was that Mercedes Benz of Cherry Hill stated that they made no such agreement with us (FLAT OUT LIE)!! I called on Monday, August 5th and left Mr. [redacted] a message with no return call and Ive left another message today, Wednesday, August 7th with no return call!! This is very unprofessional especially due to the fact that weve taken our car there on other occasions for service.Desired Settlement: I want an apology and my rental fees refunded ($265.70).

Response:

Please be advised that after review of the above complaint we found a miscommunication between [redacted] and our dealership. [redacted] was not suppose to charge the customer - they were in fact - suppose to charge us. We contacted the customer on August 8th and have reimbursed her the money spent on the rental bill. Please consider this issue closed. Thank you for your help with this unfortunate situation.[redacted]Service DirectorMercedes Benz of Cherry HIll

Review: I am from ** and I purchased a 2013 [redacted] on April 25th 2014, from the Cherry Hill dealership. To date my vehicle is not registered with the [redacted] and I am in possession of a car I cannot drive. I am scheduled to start making payments on the vehicle starting on June 3rd. The Vehicle was delivered to me in [redacted] on 4/25/14 and I in turn gave them a trade of a 2012 [redacted] plus $2000. When the vehicle was delivered the VIN# on the documentation was incorrect, so we couldn't complete the paperwork. I was given the vehicle with a temporary registration through May 12th,and told that the documents would be sent to me via [redacted] I received the paperwork on 4/29/14, and returned via [redacted] on 4/30/14. About a week later, I spoke to the used car manager ([redacted]) to find out the status of the paperwork. He was extremely rude and stated that I received a good deal, and that's why I came all the way from CT to buy from them, he said he was busy, and hung up the phone. I spoke to the Gen. Mgr. ([redacted]) who said he would look into the matter and get back to me. He never got back to me. I was told to get a VIN# Check on the vehicle, which was done. Two weeks later I was told to fax it to them (5/9/14), then two days later they said they needed the original VIN# paperwork. This was sent to them on 5/12/14 at my expense via [redacted] I went to the CT Dept of [redacted] and they said the dealership is responsible for registering the vehicle, and they had no record of it. So I am stuck with a vehicle, that I am about to start making payments on, yet I have no documentation on it, as I returned the Purchase agreement to them once it was sent to me to sign, and didn't receive my copy. The vehicle is currently unregistered, the temporary registration has expired, and I am unable to drive it, which is an inconvenience to me, since I gave them my personal vehicle as a trade.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the vehicle registered and the necessary documentation sent to me, so I can drive the vehicle.

Response:

Thank you for the the opportunity to respond. we did deliver the vehicle on 4/25 and on 4/26 sent a [redacted] with corrected paper work. received the corrected paper work on 5/5. The state of [redacted] requires a VIN verification on a pre owned car. We received that back on 5/15 and completed the title work with [redacted] in [redacted] on 5/27 and it was [redacted] to the [redacted] 5/28 for arrival today.
