Our company was also scammed out of the amount that Ms. [redacted] have
claimed and several other...
amounts. We were told that some deposits
will be made into our bank account on behalve of an individual that
was purchasing some products from us. We did not know anything about
any FIFA tickets on Craigslist. We have never done anything on
Craigslist. Why would anyone buy anything like that on Craigslist?
You figure that you are depositing money to an energy consulting
company, what does that have to do with FIFA tickets? We are a energy
company that supplies software. This individual told us that they
will be depositing cash into our account and we can then send them the
products he wanted. We provide them our bank account number and name
on the account. Once we saw the deposits in our account, we sent the
products to them. We just found out from our bank that several of the
deposits were being reverse because of frauds. We are very upset
about this because our bank account now is blocked from any
transactions and might be close because of this issue. I was told by
my bank that this man in the middle scam is happening a lot out there.
Someone get some else to deposit into an account and get the product
and then don't response to the first person so they then file a fraud
claim against the bank account. Neither party know or communicate to
each other but both communicate to the person in middle of all this.
I help this help clear what happened. We are still looking into
figuring out how to find this individual via reporting this to the
authorities.
