Huawei Technologies Canada Reviews (%countItem)

I started bringing up this issue to Huawei back in August and called several times because suggested diagnostic procedures weren't working. Every time I spoke to someone, I was asked to provide a proof of purchase. I informed them every time there was no transaction, other than winning the phone through a lottery with *** Either the reps didn't include this in their notes, or the call center is not reading the notes documented.

I finally spoke to a supervisor named *** on Sept 21, 2018 and he informed me that a letter from *** or email proof of lottery will be suffice. I provided the information that *** needed on September 22nd, 2018. I was told I will hear back with the warranty details soon. I heard nothing from Huawei.

I called again on October 20th, 2018 bringing this issue as concern because I noticed the issue was more frequent. I was again asked to provide proof of purchase. I spoke to the agent and informed them that I spoke to *** and emailed all the required documentation. I was told Huawei didn't receive my email. I then asked to speak with another supervisor and spoke to a supervisor named ***. *** looked through the email and found my email from September 22nd. *** informed me that apparently my email was just missed. I told *** I was quite frustrated, and he promised that I would hear back within 24 to 48 hours (and I would receive an email with warranty details and my next steps by October 24th, 2018). *** also mentioned that the email looks good and it has everything that Huawei will need from me. October 24th came and went by - I didn't hear anything.

I called Huawei again end of Oct. I was suggested to go to the one at Fairview Mall in North York, Ontario. I went to the repair shop on October 28, 2018. The repair person looked at my device and informed me that there is nothing wrong with the phone. He mentioned that Huawei might need to recalibrate my device to my current carrier. Apparently *** at Fairview didn't have the necessary equipment to do re-calibration.

After speaking with ***, I called Huawei once again. Once I spoke to an agent, I was once again asked about my warranty. Again, I explained the whole story all over again. And I was told that there was no email from me to Huawei. I asked again to speak with a supervisor. This time, I spoke to someone named *** (Employee ID). *** mentioned that there was nothing submitted to their management re: my warranty. *** then went through emails again and found the documentations I submitted back in September 22nd, 2018. *** told me Huawei does not provide any replacement device and my only option is to send my phone for repair. I explained to him that I travel very often and use my phone for business purposes. Sending and waiting for repair is not an option. He promised that I would get the address for the Markham repair shop and I never received the email. I called and complained again
I received a call from Complaints department in early Nov and I was promised they would look into getting me a new device and I would have to send this back. Again, Huawei went ghost on me and didn't get any response. I just got off the phone with *** again and I told him how frustrated I am with the false promises. He said the only option I have (*** is to send device for repair. I told him that I will just escalate this to Revdex.com and he said okay.

Desired Outcome

I've been wasting several months of my time. I'm tired of Huawei's customer service in Mexico. They are *** and reflect very poorly on the Huawei brand. I'm at the verge of switching out of Huawei and going with another manufacturer that respects customer service. I'm not asking for much, but I need Huawei to send me a new device for wasting so much of my time. I will send this device back.

The serial number is invalid and you do not have the proof of purchase. How are we supposed to know the device is truly Huawei or is a Canadian device?

Please ship the device to Huawei service center and after checking we will provide a solution. Thanks.

Customer Response • Jan 29, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Huawei already has the phone details in their system. This was a phone that was provided as a gift from *** My detailed notes speak about the back and forth with Huawei and how they indicated that they activated their warranty and the warranty was never active. IMEI # is XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. They should have my profile in their system. There are no concerns about that.

I'm not emailing to go through the standard repair process and wait for 7 to 10 days for my phone to come back. I'm going to Revdex.com to demand compensation for wasting months of my time. Even after my case was opened in November 2018, Huawei is responding end of January. This is quite unacceptable. I'm asking for a new device and i'll send this back.

About 1 1/2 years ago, I signed a two-year contract with *** mobile and got a ***/huawei *** 6p. However recently the phone has been found there is a boot-looping issue which causes battery problem. In my case, my battery will die within two-three hours without charging and the phone will automatically shut down when the battery is anywhere between 20% to 50%. Due to this faulty issue, I have to constantly charge the phone. According to online resources the boot-looping issue is a hardware issue, And has nothing to do about how I use the phone. I contacted *** and *** for this issue and they both referred me to the manufacturer Huawei. Huawei Refused to do anything even they realize the problem is due to a designing failure. Also, cording to the online resource huawei and *** kept on selling these phones event they realize this a hardware issue. There has been many complaints online and you can easily find article about this issue when you search *** 6P battery issue or *** 6P lawsuit. Due to this issue was found after one year of the product launch my phone has passed the warranty period, and huawei Refuses to do anything.

Desired Outcome

This is a hardware failure and not causing by consumer misuse of the product. When this issue just came out *** Off road if a customer bought the phone and *** store they will replace with pixel XL. I think Huawei should definitely do the same and replace it for me with a functional product that are similar to *** 6p(ie, pixel xl, mate 10)

Huawei Technologies Canada Response
