Our customer purchased a 2006 [redacted] from us on 03/11/2014. The car was purchased with our standard 30 day/1000 mile warranty covering the engine, rear and transmission only. The customer called us on or about a week later complaining that their radio was not functioning properly. As a good...

will gesture, we requested the customer please make an appointment with our service department and we would fix their problem. Our sales manager never heard from the customer after many weeks had gone by, so he called the customer to see if the radio was still a concern. The customer said yes and said they would bring us the car to check out. Again, the customer did not bring us the car or call us. My sales manager called again, ( a total of 2 more times) with only the intent to try and resolve this problem. The customer finally brought the car in for us to examine. Unfortunately, the radio worked properly for us and we could not duplicate the problem. As a good will gesture once again, if the customer would like to bring us the vehicle, we would be happy resolve the problem with the radio at no charge to them. Regarding our customers water leak, this is the first time it has been brought to our attention. Again if our customer brings in the vehicle for the courtesy radio repair, we will gladly address the water leak at this time. As I am sure it’s understood, we cannot resolve issues of which we are not aware, or make mechanical repairs to properly functioning accessories.Thank vou,

Review: I purchased a [redacted] for $6,594 used. After a day or so I noticed the radio was not working around half the time, for instance 5 days it would work then 2 days it would not work. I came to the conclusion I was pressured into buying a defective car. After a week I called [redacted] and told him about the radio. After bringing the car back and have him look at the radio as he requested, he said the radio seem to be OK. Then the radio continue to malfuction. At this point I decided that the car was unsatisfactory and I wanted to return the car. I called [redacted] and told him this and he assured he would find me a car that I was happy with. He then offered me a 2003 [redacted] but after checking the value of the car I found it to be around $2,000.00 less in value than what I paid, plus there was two or three astetic issues that I found unacceptable. I then informed him that I wanted to see a few different cars before deciding, he then angeryly told me that was the only car he would be willing to trade. A few days later it rained hard that is when I found out why the radio was not working properly. Water was leaking from the driver's side of the windshield and pooling under the brake and gas pedals causing the radio to short out and water to leak on my legs and feet. This was caused by faulty someone forcing a wire through the side of the windshield and then covering it with black caulking material done to install a cellphone mic sometime by the previous owner. Not being able to even trade to solve the problem I Emailed what I thought was you, and filed a complaint costing 30$ on May 10 and after waiting and having the car checked by a mechanic I then decided to file this complaint. The other complaint turned out to be with the Consumer Complaint Agency case# [redacted].Desired Settlement: Wanting to be fair I would be willing to consider to look at a car that is at least the same value and the right type. If they can not find a suitable car I would gladly accept my $6,594.00.
