We are the North American Distributor for [redacted] Products of [redacted] and upon becoming the distributor in 2005 we are pleased to have a great track record supplying our customers with products, parts and service. [redacted]. We appreciate and understand Mr. [redacted]'s comments and upon review of the events there seems to be a breakdown of communication between Customer to Dealer, Dealer to Distributor. From the information we have received, the 35M winch failed in November 2015 under a cable related issue which is not warranty related. The issue is operator error where cable resistance was not properly adjusted (directions on how to properly adjust are in the owner's manual, attached).  I believe there was a misunderstanding on what is covered under the two-year warranty. The last communication we knew of the dealer was to repair the winch. On January 12, 2016 the Dealer called us inquiring about the part; it was at this time that it was brought to our attention that the employee responsible for ordering this part (from [redacted]) failed to do so.  The conversation took place prior to the employee leaving for Thanksgiving holiday and vacation. Understanding the importance of getting the unit reassembled and operating, we disassembled a new unit we had in stock to obtain the part. our records show that the part was shipped to the Dealer on January 14, 2016. UPS Tracking [redacted] delivered Monday, January 18, 2016 at 9:41am signed by [redacted]. The broken part retails for $31.00. Mr. [redacted] must be 'replacing or fixing more than the part we are informed about. The request for a $1069.00 is about a third of the cost of the machine. We do not understand the amount with the information provided. We look forward to an amicable resolution. Daniel H. President

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
