Hudson Auto Trade Reviews (3)

Review: On September 30th 2015 I went to Hudson Auto trade to buy a vehicle. I was doing business with a man by the of [redacted] we looked into the vehicle and he ran my credit and approved me for the vehicle we looked at. I was asked to give a pay check stub, proof of residence, and income. I did not take the car home that day. The next day October 1st 2015 I went to pick up the vehicle I was approved for, I also gave Hudson Auto Trade 2,000.00$ cash deposit on the vehicle. Ten days later, On October 9th 2015 [redacted] sent me a text message at 2:15 in the afternoon said I needed to bring the vehicle back to the dealership. He said my credit was not approved. But it was approved on September 30th when we can my credit at the dealership. I was was at work with the vehicle and could not leave my job due to the inconvenience it would cause to my boss and myself. [redacted] continued to text message me and intimidate me saying I would loose the down payment of the vehicle if I did not return the vehicle that day. I work 2 jobs and I had to be at my other job in New Milford, NJ by 5:00 pm. I told [redacted] I could not return the vehicle because of the inconvenience it was causing me on such short notice. I did return the vehicle the next afternoon October 10th 2015. He refused to return my 2,000.00$ deposit if I did not pay for mileage on the vehicle. I called the police right away.

I feel I was taken advantage of. I was not there to rent a car. I should not pay for mileage because the credit did not work out. It is not in my paperwork saying I had to pay mileage if this situation did occur. Hudson Auto Trade approved me for a vehicle. [redacted] was texting me for dinner and drinks. Which I have proof of in text messages I have saved. I kindly declined his offer. Then all of a sudden I have to bring the car back, and loose the 2,000.00$ I deposited on the vehicle. Something is not right.Desired Settlement: This matter is being brought to the Hudson Special Civil Part Court in jersey city. I am willing to settle out of court for the original 2,000.00$ down payment plus 1,000.00$ for inconvenience, hardship, taxis, and time off from work. 3,000.00$ total is the desired outcome.

Review: On 2/13/2015 I signed a contract tofinanced a car from Hudson Auto Trade. On 2/25/2015 I contacted them via telephone because multiple lights appeared on the dashboard they offered to fix it. On 3/4/2015 I contacted the dealership a woman name [redacted] answered and I told me the was ready but haven't come from mechanic. On Thursday I called again the same women told me their mechanic was closed due to weather conditions. Today, 3/6/2015 Friday. I called again a gentleman answered the phone and told the car was still not ready. I asked when would it be ready because the car was there for two weeks. I asked what was being done to the car that it would take so long. She stated " why ? The car isn't ready I don't know what you want me to do." I said to him " do you understand I have a car note coming up for a car I'm not driving. He said what would you like me to do and hung up on me. I called back and the same gentleman answered I asked him did he hang up on me and he yes and hung up again. After this time they are refusing to give me my down pay of $2000 .

Response:

On 2/13/2015, the customer came in to our office looking to purchase a 2005 Maxima that we had. She gave us a down payment, and was not interested to take it on a test drive before purchasing. We insisted she take it for a test drive to be sure that she was fully satisfied with what she was purchasing. We were later contacted by this customer because she stated that she was having issues with the car. We encouraged her to bring the car back in order for us to see what was going on and what we can do to help. Being that there is no mechanic working on our lot, we took her car to an outside mechanic to take a look at it. Due to the weather and other circumstances, it took the mechanic longer than expected to get the problem taken care of. The customer called and spoke inappropriately to the manager, and was yelling on the phone. Due to her tone, the manager asked her to please lower her tone so that he could understand her and be able to answer her questions. She refused to do so, and continued to be inappropriate. On March 7th, the customer came in to pick up the vehicle. She took it for a test drive once again, and was satisfied with the vehicle. She also signed paperwork that she was fully satisfied with the vehicle. We then received the complaint from Revdex.com, and tried calling the customer several times with no response, because the vehicle was in her possession at that time. We then received a call from her on Wednesday March 18, and she stated that she was having a problem with the vehicle because it did not start. On Thursday March 19, we went to pick it up to see what the problem was, and we had no problem starting the vehicle, all we had to do was turn the key in the ignition.

I am rejecting this response because:

Review: On September 9, 2013 I went to Hudson Auto Trade LLC to purchase a car. I bought the BMW 7 series for $20,080.00. I did not receive the title right away because the dealer said he got the car from an auction, and is still waiting for title. I received a temporary registration for one month. After one month I did not receive the title from the dealer. I called the dealer and he said that he did not have the title still from the auction. He asked me to come into the dealership and he will extend the registration for one more month. After the month had passed he did not reach out to me so I called the dealer, he did not answer. So I decided to go to the dealership. The receptionist said that he was not there and she could not help with the issue. I asked the receptionist what I should do she replied, if he is not here I can not do anything. I told the receptionist that I will call the police and she said okay. Then I stepped out of the dealership's office the dealer showed up. The first thing he asked us was if I called the Police. I said no. The dealer then asked us to step into his office. There he presented me with an offer. He told me that we will act like the first deal never happened so we can start a fresh one because the registration only lasts for maximum of two months. Since I liked the car I agreed to the deal he had to offer which was to start new paper work. So the car would be bought for the first time again so I can use one month of registration again until he gets the title. This happened on the date of 11/72013. After two weeks I called to see if he had the title, and he said he still did not receive it. So at the end of the month when the registration expired, I went to the dealership and he extended the registration for the final month. I called the dealer after two weeks and he said he still did not have it so I told him if he did not have it by the end of the month, I am going to return the car and want my money back. The dealer said okay no problem. Three days before the end of the registration I called the dealership and the receptionist said that the dealer was not there and she could not do anything without the dealer there. She told me to contact him and gave me his cell phone number. I called him he did not answer so I left a message reminding him that I am returning the BMW back to him and to have my money. The day before the registration ended 01/04/2014 I called the dealership that I am coming to the dealership in 30 minutes to return the car and to have my money. The receptionist said the dealer is not there and she cant do anything. So we showed up to the dealership and the receptionist said once again she cant do anything because the dealer is not here. So I said I am calling the police. Which I did so. When the police showed up they wrote up a report and said to go to the Motor Vehicle Agency. On my way back home from the dealership the dealer called us back and wanted to give me a third offer. Which was the same offer as the previous one. I told him no and I wanted to return the car and my money back. He said he did not have the money that I gave him for the car. I told him if he is not going to give me my money back I am taking him to court. He said okay good luck. I will appreciate if my request has a positive outcome.Desired Settlement: I would like to get the title to register my car or if that is not possible then I would like to get my money back.
