We are very sorry for the inconvenience and stress this has caused our client. The notice of cancellation went out because *** *** discovered the home was no longer owner occupied. The cancellation had nothing to do with the roof claim When a home is not occupied for over
days the home is no longer eiligible for homeowners insurance. When this happens we simply insure the property on a different type of policy, a Dwelling Fire policy.As soon as we found out the home was going to be cancelled, we set up a Dwelling Fire policy for our client and they were satisfied with the new policy and premium offered. This new policy also gives them the proper coverage needed for a home that is no longer owner occupied. We have recently talked to our client and they are satisfied with how we resolved the situation and the service we provided with the new policy.
