I am writing in response to a complaint filed against our
credit union by *** ** *** ID # ***
*** was upset that we debited the full loan payment
amount from her other account on 11/When a member authorizes an automatic
debit from an account we are only authorized to take the authorized amount, no
molessWhen she called in we did inform her that the full amount would be
taken from her checking account and the balance, after her loan was paid off,
the remaining balance was immediately deposited into her savings account here
She has full access to that account at any of our branches, or thru our shared
branching networkStating that her work schedule would not allow her to visit a
branch or shared branching network, She called and requested that the amount be
returned as a credit to her other accountThis authorization must be made in
writing since it is an electronic transfer to another financial institution
When we received the authorization we did process her requestThe funds were
sent to her account on 11/
In regards to the non-mailing of statements, she did file a
bankruptcy and though she opted to continue paying the loan she is still
protected under the bankruptcy code and therefore we are not permitted to send
her statements of her loan accountShe could have requested one from us at any
time, this should have been explained to her by her attorney or the bankruptcy
trusteeMs***’s title had the lien released and was mailed to her on
11/17/
As of 11/17/her funds were already credited and her
title was already mailed to herWe have also stopped the monthly automatic
debits from her other credit union account

They are lying they only refunded the money because I said I was calling the B.B.Bthe money was not returned on the 15thI copied the return date from my online banking from *** *** ***.(plus when I called that Sat.I was told accounting was gone.) I understand they had to take the loan amount out firstI was also emailed a form to have the money put back the on the 6th and it was faxed back the same dayI was told a few business daysThe car payment was on the bank statement from their bank IT showed the amount taken out and the balance on the loanIt Never came as a Bill! Note the email from them.Eleven days!
