Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 12, 2015/06/26) */ Concerning the [redacted] purchased by [redacted] ***I was contacted by [redacted] concerning problems with tires and in turn I contacted our [redacted] dealership to have tires sent out to [redacted] or have a local business provide and install tires, we ended up having a local business ( [redacted] ) install the tiresIt was noted at that time that a wheel alignment needed to be performed and I informed [redacted] to get it done in [redacted] At that time [redacted] said that [redacted] could not do the wheel alignment, as the rack and pinion needed to be replacedI informed [redacted] that we would have to diagnose ourselves to confirm the issueI told [redacted] to bring vehicle back to dealership which was done [redacted] Our [redacted] dealership did look at the vehicle and because they do not have a wheel alignment machine it was sent out to a local garage to perform [redacted] did check the rack and pinion out on a ramp and could not see any play in itIt was only when it went on a wheel alignment ramp, and they could test for this problem, that they could see that there was some play in the rack and pinionIt was decided at that time that we would replace the parts in question and they were immediately orderedWe knew this would take some time so we sent the customers with a loaner vehicle for [redacted] , to use while waiting for repairWhen work was completed we had a driver deliver the vehicle to [redacted] Thank you [redacted] Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 14, 2015/06/29) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) It was noted at that time that a wheel alignment needed to be performed and I informed [redacted] to get it done in [redacted]. [redacted] did check the rack and pinion out on a normal ramp and could not see any play in it. It was only when it went on a wheel alignment ramp, and they could test for this problem, that they could see that there was some play in the rack and pinion. It was decided at that time that we would replace the parts in question and they were immediately ordered. We knew this would take some time so we sent the customers with a loaner vehicle for [redacted], to use while waiting for repair.
