I am rejecting this response because: as the owner of the property pricing should have been explained to me not the tenants, and if she could explain pricing to the tenants she should have been able to explain them to meAt that point in time I would have thanked them for returning my call but moved on to another plumber as I know this price is entirely too high The other person that used Hughes lives in Bellefontaine not West LibertyIt was not an emergency call nor did I ask for emergency service There was no leak, nothing that couldn't wait a day or two if need be They took it upon themselves to make it an emergency call apparently and this is the first I'm hearing of it being addressed as an emergency This is not common pricing practice in the area as I contacted other licensed, local plumbers all of whom confirmed this to meMany females are taken advantage of by people in the trades therefore I did share my knowledge about the problemI know how long it takes to change a toilet flapper and I know it does not cost $to fix I was not telling him how to run his business I was simply questioning his billing practices Having family members in the trades I am more knowledgeable than the average customer

purposes and so thatshe was aware we were going to do work at her propertyI the Office Manager did state that I was unable togive her a price but had explained the rates to the tenantWe charge a Service Call fee whenever we leaveWest Liberty due to lost time in between jobs and to cover the fluctuating gas pricesThis is not a big city soif we drive to Zanesfield, Middleburg, East Liberty, Lakeview, Belle Center, Urbana and Marysville in one daywe lose worktime and gasWe charge per hour whether we are there minutes or moreWe hold thesame prlces as the other reputable companies around this area and have been able to stay in business for 13years because of itThis area has a lot of people who don't make it more than a year or two and work out oftheir pickup trucksThey do not arrive with parts or acquire the permits required by county and state to dojobsIf the person on Facebook lives in West Liberty they did not get charged a Service Call feeMrHughesworks very hard for his businessHe holds workman's compensation pulls all of the permits required bycounty and state, offers insurance and 401K benefits to his employeesHe also gets penalized every quarterfor taxes because he works long hours and cares about his customersWe are extremely busy due to hisdedicationMr*** took care of Mrs***'s rental on an emergency basis and worked it into hisschedule the very same day we were calledWhen Mr*** and Mrs*** spoke in his office over thephone I was there and she was telling him the manner in which he should do his job, how long it should takeand what he should or should not chargeThis is her opinion and not based off of running a reputablebusinessDue to this job being an emergency call and breaking into our schedule and due to Mrs***'sdissatisfaction we will be in the same group as the several other plumbers who did not respond to theirrequest going forward.Michelle G*** ***Hughes Heating Plumbing and A/C LLC
