The masonry work done by Hughes Corporation is of superior quality. Mr. [redacted] and his workers arrived early, completed the job, and left the area spotless. The brick point up work completed on my house and other repairs were excellent. The team made sure that the mortar matched, it's now difficult to locate where the actual repairs were made.
I highly recommend the services of Hughes Masonry Corporation and will definitely use this service again.

Hughes contracted with us to do a job he did not have the license to perform. We gave him a $10k retainer. Contract cancelled. We're owed $3500.[redacted] Hughes contracted with us to replace our patio and build a retaining wall. The job was estimated to be around $50,000 dollars. We paid [redacted] a $10,000 retainer. We determined that [redacted] did not have a general contractor license that is required to do that large a job in NC. We cancelled the contract before work was started. [redacted] paid us part of the money back, but then stopped repaying. He still owes us $3500. I told him I'd give him until the end of this year before filing a complaint.Desired Settlement[redacted] promised to pay me back if I let him keep $2000 to cover time and expenses he had put into the planning.I told him I would let him keep $2000 if he paid me the rest back.At this point he has not paid me back and it is almost the end of the year. So he did not keep up his part of the agreement.As a result, he owes me $3500. Hughes Masonry removed the stone on the floor of the stoop at our front door, put down a rubber membrane, and replaced the stone to prevent water from running through the mortar and damaging floor joists. They also replaced the mortar on the front steps, repaired a brick walkway, and removed a basketball goal on our parking pad. The work was excellent, and we're pleased to recommend Hughes Masonry. [redacted] was responsive, conscientious, and courteous. It was a real pleasure to work with him. [redacted] was recommended to me by a home improvement contractor whom I trust, and I'm really glad he did. [redacted] demonstrated that he is committed to doing the job right, and that he and his crew do great brick and stone masonry work.
