Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.It is not true that they offered to show me how to install the floor I did speak to [redacted] who told me that the product was "tricky" He did not offer any assistance or demonstrations However the product IS DEFECTIVE as I have described before It failed to lock into place making the installation impossible I should not have to pay a restocking fee to return a defective product I would like to resolve this matter outside of court; so please make a reasonable offer of restitution Regards, [redacted]
Response: Mr [redacted] is upset about a re-stocking fee for material he returnedMr [redacted] ordered special order Core-tec flooring that he was going to install himselfAfter taking the material home he called into the store to say that he was having an issue putting the floor togetherAs a courtesy we offered to send out our Service Manager to show him the proper way to install the flooring but he refused the assistanceHe later decided to bring the material back to the store and return itWe checked the material and found no problem with it and returned it to the manufacture to check the locking installation systemThey also found no problem with it; if there had been any defect they would have refunded the full purchase priceThe re-stocking fee is the charge for returning special order material to the manufactureWe are sorry that Mr [redacted] is disappointed but there was no defect and there is a charge to return the item to the manufactureAs an additional courtesy we would offer to apply the re-stocking fee as a store credit to purchase other material
