Huguenot Collision Center Reviews (1)

Review: My car was broken into Saturday night 5/**/2015. I called [redacted] and the police Sunday afternoon 5/**/2015. My car was towed for overnight storage on Staten Island and Monday morning 6/*/2015, it was towed to this repair facility. The tow truck owner called me Monday and said they do business with this shop, and I am not familiar with any repair facilities so I was indifferent and said okay, bright it there. The car was estimated to be repaired Friday 6/*/2015. The only thing broken was the driver's side window. The glass needed to be cleaned up. [redacted] did not call me to inform me this shop is not in-network and the repairs at this facility are neither guaranteed nor will [redacted] be help accountable to return the car to its condition before it was broken into. I was promised to have the car Wednesday, June **. It was towed back to me Thursday June **. The shop didn't repair cuts on the leather wrapped steering wheel that occurred as a result of the broken glass. They did not clean up the glass on the driver's or passenger's seat or inside the driver's door. They did not use OEM glass, instead using a used piece of glass. They invoiced [redacted] for new OEM glass from a Toyota dealership. They also invoiced [redacted] for a new driver's side door panel, claiming the old panel was scratched. This is not true. This is fraud and the insurance was wrongly billed. Also, the new panel they put in does not fit correctly. My car was not brought to its pre-incident condition.Desired Settlement: I was my car repaired correctly at a Brooklyn repair shop. I want my insurance deductible back. I want a letter of apology from [redacted]. I want an investigation into the business practices of this repair shop and [redacted].

Response:

[redacted] 2010 Toyota Rav-4 was vandalized on 5/**/2015. With his consent the vehicle was delivered to our facility for repair. We will produce emails and written consent to support our claim. After the vehicle was delivered, the initial inspection took place on 6/*/15. The assessment of damage to the vehicle was completely and solely entered into a written estimate by the adjuster from [redacted] Insurance. We have no bearing on parts replacement or category of part whether it be new, used or after market. In this particular situation [redacted] allowed for a NAGS (aftermarket) glass as reflected in the price on the estimate. Expressway Collision has built a customer base on honesty and integrity therefore to accuse our facility of fraud is incongruous. We are completely open to helping [redacted] and are willing to inspect the vehicle along with a [redacted] representative. However, the slander and eroneuos statements from [redacted] man must stop. Thank you for your time and hope to amicably mediate this situation.

After I took delivery of the car Thuraday june **, the car drove differently. It accelerated poorly and sounded very loud. I took it to a well rated mechanic who told me I had a bad muffler. My car was in great shape before it went to this Staten Island mechanic. It makes no sense that I had to replace exhaust parts on my 2010 toyota rav 4 with 37000 miles on it was serviced at this mechanic. I bought my car 3/*/2015 as a certified toyota used car. It was in excellent shape mechanically and cosmetically and it came back to me running poorly.I want security camera footage proving my car did not go on a lift and its exhaust system was not tampered with. I am.very upset that my car performed differently after 12 days in Staten Island and went to also know why the car was turned on and off 5 times Monday. June *. It was inspected June * by [redacted] claims adjuster. I want to know what you were doing to the car June [redacted]. Frankly, if I ran a business and a customer made an allegation of fraud, I would hire a private investigator to clean my name. Your response and deletion of my online reviews of your business shows me you are trying to quiet me and shove this whole business under the proverbial carpet. Shame on you for the lack of desecency and professionalism. If I bring my car to your shop, it will.be accompanied by NYPD for collecting information for a police report.

Response:

[redacted], We repaired [redacted] 2010 Toyota RAV-4 for non-mechanical issues. The vehicle was vandalized, breaking the window and damaging interior parts. The vehicle was returned in the exact running condition as it was received. I can assure that if you check the serial number on the current exhaust, it will match the original factory part from the manufacturer. In regards to starting the vehicle, unfortunately [redacted] car was not the only repair in our facility. Although it would be ideal for each customer to have their own parking spot for the duration of repair, due to size constraint and volume of work it was necessary to move the vehicle as needed to accommodate. As discussed with [redacted] several times, we would love to further inspect any complications he may be experiencing. Furthermore I would greatly appreciate any additional erroneous accusations be kept to oneself. Regards, Management
