They did a great job at replacing my old iron gate with a new wood/iron gate. Fair price, same day service. Still good after 2 years.

Review: [redacted] and Hula Construction wanted money after 2.5 hours of working my building my brick wall. It was a two day project, with half the money due after the footing and excavation being complete. I said no. [redacted] said he needed to call the boss. They packed up all tools. [redacted] said he was waiting to hear back from his Boss and that they were going to lunch. They didn't return. I left a phone message at 1230 asking for a update. At 115pm truck came and took the block away.

After touring the yard I notice boot prints leading to the opposite side of the yard were no work was to be done. [redacted] or one of his crew defecated in my yard! No joke. I had the yard leveled a day before the rain on 11/22/2013. The entire yard is flat mud. Not me or my dogs have been in the backyard. This was human waste. I have pictures.Desired Settlement: A written apology for the human waste in my yard from Hula's president ([redacted] in Hawaii) on a piece of paper with Hula's letterhead.

In responde to Mr [redacted] complaint. I spoke with [redacted] as well as the crew on the job site. [redacted] stated that when he asked Mr. [redacted] for the deposit the excavation, footing and block had been delivered. Mr [redacted] response to [redacted] was that he did not sign the contract and would pay him when the job was done at this point [redacted] told the crew to stop working until he could speak to me. When [redacted] contacted me I instructed him to stop the job, [redacted] did not have Mr. [redacted] sign the contract this was a mistake on his part. On the issue of one of the crew going to the bathroom in his yard I spoke to each person individually and they each stated that this did not happen. They had only been on the job for a couple of hours. This crew has been with me for 4 years and we have never had any issues. I do apologize for the way things turned out but can not take responsability for something that I am being told did not happen.
