To whom it may concern,This email is in response to the Revdex.com letters dated 1/and 2/regarding a complaint by customer [redacted] This was a simple misunderstanding, and a display of poor math skills by our serverIn this day and age, servers do not typically carry pockets full of metal coinsWe tend to round up, and give the customer more change than they are dueAs an example, if you owed a customer .55, we would just give them a dollarMore often than not, guests who pay in cash (which are fewer and fewer each year) will simply tell the service staff to keep any metal coin change that is owed to themIn this case, our server simply rounded down instead of upWhen the guest mentioned this to the server, the server apologized and gave her $1,in change (so she actually ended the transaction up).It seemed so inconsequential at the time, particularly given that she did not ask to speak to a manager, nor did she attempt to contact myself through any of the common channels (phone, our website, direct email to me, etc.)We are happy to do anything the guest would like to make amends for this mathematical errorI can send *** a gift certificate, or refund her money to make her carry out order complimentary.We hope for a swift resolution to this matter
