Softhyde upholstery is not durable
We purchased an Accutouch massage chair from Costco’s vendor Human Touch. We have used the massage chair about once a week or less. We average about 130 lbs, not massive. The faux leather upholstery starts to flax about 5 years later and it has increased its deterioration soon after. The mechanical part works fine. When contacted for solutions to repair the peeling upholstery, the Human Touch representative was not much help: the model isn’t being carried by the company any longer and we don’t have any replacement parts ( i.e. pads or upholstery materials ).

So, we have an expensive massage chair in our great room that is peeling like a snake each time we sit in it….very disappointed by the non solution offered. If we had know how brittle the covering is, we would not have purchased it.

I haven't even sat in the chair I paid for, but I would never recommend Human Touch to another personWe bought a chair two month before Christmas as a present, and have been told we will likely not get to sit in it until after ChristmasIn addition to poor delivery, their customer service personnel were rude, and unhelpfulThe email system on the webpage is a road to no whereWe put in four separate emails asking about delivery, and have yet to hear from themThe wait time to reach a customer service person is comical, and when you do they are either unwilling or unable to help or offer the slightest apology or empathyI am utterly disappointedWe spent a great deal of money for the massage chair; more than we ever thought we would, based on the experience that was sold to us Now, I feel lied to, and I don't trust this company
