Rebuttal:
Complainant signed agreements regarding Office Policy and Office's Fee, which include
"Collection fee tor Credit Reporting Collection Service," for delinquent accountsCopies of these documents, with complainant's signature, are enclosedPlease note that these documents are also readily available on line as part of the office registration
Complainant did not dispute in his complaint to the Revdex.com that his account was delinquentFollowing accepted standard of sending statements, pre-collection letter, and collection letter, complainant's delinquent account was sent to collection
Complainant's main arguments for the disputed amount is that he has problems, and that his personal problems ultimately resulted in his complaint to the Revdex.com: " as a person with ADD, I'm constantly distracted and I have no memory of anything .'' His problems are unrelated to the office, but appear to be used as excusesClearly, his problems are not so disabling because he is quite capable of filing this complaint
It is untrue that this complainant "promptly paid" his billsThe office spent anonerous amount of time corresponded to complainant by phone contacts, by mails, and in-person at the officeComplainant was very uncooperative
Complainant is also incorrect that the office did not give "reason why my understanding might be incorrect." Complainant has acknowledged in his Revdex.com complaint that he received "the ledger" from the officeComplainant also received detail explanations
from his health insurance EOBsThere is a significant difference between tmderstand vsacceptanceComplainant appears to understand his obligation but does not want to
accept his responsibility
Complainant's assertion that the Office Policy regarding sending of delinquent accounts to collection is to give the office "incentive to quickly send an account to collections" is baselessThis oftice is a medical office and is not a financial institutionOur focus is to deliver medical care and not to be a financial officeThe $collection fee is a fraction of the office cost for handling delinquent accounts, particularly this oneWhile complainant may think that delinquent fees do not apply to him, they are very common tools to deter delinquency; e.glate fees for rent payments, loan payments, or bill payments
In conclusion, this complainant voluntarily signed a contract with the office, this complainant received services, this complainant got detailed information of his account from the office and from his insurance, this complainant's account was delinquent, this office used accepted standard and practice regarding sending account to collection, and this complainant appears to focus on making complaints than accepting responsibility
Finally, contrary to the Revdex.com letter, there is no "rebuilding oftrust" with this complainantThis complainant has been permanently terminated from this officeThe main reason to write this rebuttal is to protect this office reputation
This office does wish complainant the best with his futureHopefully, this process will be therapeutic for this complainant to become a better patient and customer
