Review: 1. The service representative, [redacted], was not up front in providing any explanation of service diagnose fees to us (on the phone and in person) when he requested us to drop off the problem vehicle, Odyssey, for them to take a look. They only have a flyer posted at their front desk that mentioned "minimum fee $52.50." Upon having the four recommendation and the estimates, we wanted to have the two small service items (oil change & patch tire's hole) to proceed that would have a total of ~$70. He then informed us that he would need to charge $105 for the diagnose fee, in addition, for an hour of his mechanic. When we questioned $105 for an hour of car mechanic, he said that we signed the paper which referenced this number. Apparently, we overlooked the SMALL PRINT OF GENERAL LANGUAGE at bottom page that had "ESTIMATE FEE FROM 52.50 TO 105.00." It didn't mention HOW a fee would establish beyond 52.50 and up to 105. Thus, the right box with a summar total of $0.00. Keep in mind that this information was silent and small printed and it was given on the spot to sign. He didn't give us a copy after signing this paper and upon taking our vehicle. However, we were awared of the posted sign at front desk of "$52.50." We offered to pay $52.50 for diagnose (and not have any service proceeding) that we felt a fair rate for an hour of car mechanic and the overhead. He refused to agree and counter offer $75 to be paid before he would release our vehicle. We suggested his amount, $75, to include replacing a brake light (that would cost $13 elsewhere). He didn't agree with our suggestion. We didn't agree his $75 charge but we paid this amount to have our vehicle return.

2. There was a mislead advertisement. The company sign has "free estimates" hanged on top and outside of their building. When mentioned this quote, he claimed that does not applied for car mechanics. Keep in mind that their company is "Huntington Car Care" and from observing their facility, it looked like they mostly provide car mechanic services if not just that.

3. The representative didn't handle professionally. He was aggressive in his explanation. It was inappropriate that he questioned profession that I work and he was referencing how a dentist charged hundreds for a visit of something minor. I didn't discuss the subjects as they were irrelevant. However, I know my dentist bill was less compares to his rate. I do manage construction contracts which I have experiences in cost and contractual. He was inconsistent: At beginning, he told me that he wanted me to be satisfied and that I had options.Desired Settlement: 100% refund credit of $75 for the experience that we had and not satisfied. We would have no complaint if he had charge us the $52.50 in the first place but that is not the case presently. Since we are filing the complaint and spending time on this, we would expect 100% credit.
