Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:Hello thanks for finally responding I understand what your saying but the problems we had in the home were right away ...the shower in my bedroom the over flow stop doesn't go up or down at all and the other shower when released leaks all in the kitchen that was the first day we were here why wasn't the tub filled and released then you would have notice ours doesn't work and the other leaks right away I had corroded plumbing pipes everywhere if you took off the insulation you would have notice all the piping that let go and leaked and had to be replaced...my heat in the bedroom both heater did not work very rare both would go at the same time...these things just don't happen the crack in the door was obvious too...the water in the garage had stains but I'll give the benefit of the doubt...no warning about major things that were obvious yes you looked at some stuff but like I said your report was weak if you noted some of these major things or tested the tubs and toilets I could have came at the sellers...I would not recommend you to my friends or family who will be buying homes in the future I feel I paid for an inspection that I could have done myself ...I reported you to Revdex.com bc you did not respond to my email ... I should be reimbursed for the poor inspection I so far have paid 2200$ in repairs
Sincerely,
*** ***

At this point, I will not be responding anymoreI would have gladly said I was sorry, refunded your money and made you feel whole regarding all of your issues IF you had let me know about themAnd let me know about them, as soon as they became an issue, as the contract clearly states, NOT months later while the house was being lived in and usedAgain, I stand by my work 100%! This is why there is a signed agreement and contract between the parties. I wish you the best of luck in the future ***

[redacted]I am not going to go back and forth with you. You would've been reimbursed for the inspection if you weren't in violation of our contract. I stand by my work 100%. Our contract clearly states that you must contact me for re-inspection if you have a concern, prior to any repairs being performed. But, you didn't do that. Why did you wait so long to contact me?The report states that a licensed electrician was supposed to evaluate the electrical system due to many electrical concerns stated in the report. Was that done? If work was done to the electrical system, either by the seller or yourself then why did he not fix the electric heat? How do you know he didn't do something to cause this problem? There are too many possibilities.Again, I am bound by a strict set of rules and regulations, I am not allowed to take off insulation, as clearly stated in the home inspection regulations from the dept. of consumer protection. Its not allowed. Period. Same with the whole house fan.And I received the email on the same day the complaint was filed at the Revdex.com. You were quick to file a complaint but not to contact me when you had all these concerns. You didn't give me a chance to respond to the email. Again, I am sorry you are dissatisfied. I wish I could've helped you last year. Thank you

I am rejecting this response because:i can careless about getting my money back...I hope people who look for a good inspector read this and think twice about who they get. Like I said my inspection was done at the end of October on 2016 based on the weak report nothing major was wrong with the home. I purchased the home and move in January 1st 2017 right away major things happened such as pipes that were corruded that were visible  and some behind insulation that you could easily move for a peak at what being hidden. Toilets that did not work drains that were not working from the tub and the list gos on. These are things an inspector should find easily if doing a proper thorough inspection. [redacted] just  keeps making excuses on why he didn't do something or it was working. He claims I never contacted for a reinspection. I did not bc I purchase the home based on his first inspection and bought the home. How would I know about problems, well I found out right away and for two months non stop repairs. I've only lived in the home 2 months when I contacted now in February ...he keeps saying I could of helped you last year dude it's only been a couple months and I wouldn't call someone that isn't in a trade that just "inspects" to help me. I am a hvac tech and I can fix a lot myself and I spent 2200$ on repairs doing 75 percent myself so imagine if it was a non mechanical person! Let this be a warning to anyone who gets a inspector that these people only know so much and some don't catch obvious things so be very careful who you choose. At least if [redacted] said I'm sorry I missed a lot of obvious things were only human maybe I feel better. If this was him buying a home and major problems happened and the inspector could have caught a few I am sure he feel the same. Good luck to Huntington home inspection but they will not get recommended by me...
Sincerely,

I am sorry you feel disappointed about the inspection. The homes condition is very dynamic and ever changing. Your inspection on Oct. 29, 2016 is an inspection of that home on that day and time only. There is no warrantee or guarantee implied or given, as stated in your signed agreement. This agreement is a contract between my company and yourself. In that agreement you signed under disputes, there is a protocol, #2 States the Right of Re-Inspection. At no time before repairs were made, was I given an opportunity to re-inspect these portions of the property you had issues with. Had you contacted me, I would have gladly visited the house to address your concerns. In regards to you comments about the garage flooding. The day of the inspection was a dry day and not raining. This an issue that should have been disclosed by the seller, if in fact it is happening everytime it rains. Please consult your disclosures and/or your attorney to find out why the seller did not disclose this. In regards to your comments about the heat and other plumbing issues. All of these issues were inspected and operated the day of the inspection and were in working order. In regards to inspecting the attic in your Revdex.com complaint. It is clearly stated in the contract you signed and in the Home Inspection Regulations from the Dept. of Consumer Protection, that you were provided a copy of that "(7) “Dismantle” means to take apart or remove any component, device or piece of equipment that would not be taken apart or removed by a homeowner in the course of normal and routine home owner maintenance.... (14)“Readily accessible” means available for visual inspection without requiring moving of personal property, dismantling, destructive measures, or any action which will likely involve risk to persons or property;" I went above and beyond the regulations to satisfy you at the inspection. I did not have to take apart the whole house fan as I did. In closing, my reputation and my clients satisfaction, is of the utmost importance to me. This is the 1st and only time I have ever had a complaint logged against me to the Revdex.com in the last 15 years of business. Had you simply contacted me last year, within a reasonable amount of time, I would have re-inspected these issues to address your concerns.
